Howe, Harvey go from rivals to roommates

June 23, 2011

INDIANAPOLIS — From rivals on the wrestling mat to allies on the gridiron, Culver's Jeremiah Harvey and Plymouth's Damon Howe have come full circle.
The Marshall County heavyweights, who clashed several times in last winter's IHSAA State Wrestling Tournament culminating in a championship showdown under the spotlight at Conseco Fieldhouse in February, have both been selected to man the offensive line for the North at the 2011 Grange Insurance/IFCA North-South All-Star Game next month.

Hoagland and Reehling win Farm Bureau Classic

June 23, 2011

KOONTZ LAKE — Jason Reehling of Fairmont gave his father-in-law, David Hoagland of Rochester a great Father’s Day gift of a 5.69 pound largemouth that propelled them to victory at the Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance Classic at Koontz Lake.
This was their first win in the MARCO Bass Masters Tournament Series. They had a five fish limit that weighed 13.20 pounds. It was also their second Travel Tender Bait and Tackle Big Bass Award of the Year. The victory was worth $650, and they were awarded another $130 for big bass.
