PLYMOUTH — The Plymouth High School Athletic Department has accepted the resignation of Head Basketball Coach Kevin Stuckmeyer.
A search for a new varsity basketball coach will begin immediately.
Stuckmeyer resigns with a three-year head coaching record of 31-38 — including a 7-15 mark for 2010-11 — after serving previously as an assistant coach with the program.
During Stuckmeyer's tenure, the Pilgrims won the Sectional 19 championship in 2010 after falling in the sectional title game to eventual 3A state runner up Rochester in 2009.
As the 2011 baseball season kicks off this week, Plymouth seniors are looking for a change in attitude.
With a deep cast of six seniors back with the Pilgrims in Damon Howe, Houston Hodges, Kyle Cartwright, Mitch Good, Richie Luva and Phil Iwinski, the team looks to bring some positive energy to the field and the dugout.
