MUNCIE — For the second year in a row, Ball State senior point guard Randy Davis has been named one of 59 candidates for the 2012 Bob Cousy Collegiate Point Guard of the Year Award, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass. announced Monday. The annual honor, named for Hall of Famer and former Boston Celtic Bob Cousy, recognizes the top point guards in college basketball.
BOURBON — Triton junior guard Clay Yeo has been named one of three boys honored as an Indiana Basketball Coaches Association/Pacers-Fever Player of the Week.
Yeo is joined by two other Class A boys players in Faith Christian senior Stephen Toyra and Edinburgh senior Jordan Burton along with three girls nominees in Akilah Sims of Fort Wayne Snider, Rachael Gregory of Indianapolis North Central and Amanda Moore of Seymour as honorees in the awards program sponsored by the Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever.
All were cited for performances from Dec. 12 through Dec. 17.
