ROCHESTER — Triton has rallied back for some slow starts lately defending its unbeaten run. On Wednesday, the Lady Trojans dug themselves a hole they couldn’t crawl out of.
An ailing Rochester squad overcame illness to jump out to a fast start, running up a 10-2 lead in the game’s first five and a half minutes, then held off visiting Triton down the stretch for a 36-33 victory to hand the Trojans their first loss of the season on the road.
DONALDSON — Brandon Query of Greencastle High School has signed with the Ancilla College men’s soccer team for the 2012 season.
The midfielder is the first official signing of the year for Ancilla head coach James Drzewiecki.
“Brandon is a great player to start our class off with,” said Drzewiecki. “He’s floated under the radar a bit, but the kid can flat out play. We’ve really been taken with his work rate, vision and technical ability. He’s our kind of player, and he’s a great fit for our system.”
