CULVER — After Mickella Hardy exploded for 23 points Saturday, Rochester’s defense made her a point of emphasis headed into Culver.
The Lady Zebras held the 5-11 freshman forward to 2 of 5 from the field and just five points, and Rochester’s veteran squad held off the young Cavaliers late for a 47-41 victory at John R. Nelson Gymnasium Wednesday night in a make up of a snow-out Tuesday.
ARGOS — The Argos girls soccer team was given a program-record number of All-Academic nominations and set another program first with the school’s first All-State Honorable Mention nod as the Indiana Soccer Coaches Association named award-winners for the 2011 season.
Argos had its highest-ever number of All-Academic winners in history with seven players named to the list. No previous squad had placed more than three.

Starr posts double-double in win over Judson University
Plymouth grad Alex Starr posted her career-first double-double for Purdue University Calumet as the Peregrines claimed an 84-78 victory over Judson University on Wednesday night in the Fitness and Recreation Center in Hammond.
