NAPPANEE — Fifteen Plymouth Sharks swimmers attended a four-hour clinic Saturday, Sept. 25 at NorthWood High School, led by Olympic gold medalist swimmers Josh Davis and Peter Vanderkaay.Â
Vanderkaay, who is still in training for the Olympics, took the day off from his training in Michigan to speak and swim with about 70 swimmers ranging in ages 8 to 18.
LAKEVILLE — As teams enter the last third of the regular season, several are preparing for sectional rivalry games.
LaVille and Triton are both sitting at 1-5 on the year, and both are still looking for their first Northern State Conference win. Add to that the fact that both are in the Class A, Sectional 33 field and the stakes are high Friday at LaVille.
BREMEN — Dealing with the pressure of the state tournament is hard enough, but there was something even bigger looming in the minds of Bremen players Wednesday.
With head coach Andrew Rohde in Florida taking care of his mother after she underwent unexpected brain surgery to remove a tumor, the young Lions had to buckle down and focus on the task at hand in their Bremen Boys Tennis Sectional opener with LaVille. They did just that, beating the Lancers 4-1 in a repeat of an earlier Northern State Conference match to advance to play Triton today.
