CULVER — After an unprecedented 5-0 start to the season, Culver Community hit the skids in Week 6.
Beset by injuries and other personnel problems, the Cavaliers went on a three-game losing streak and fell out of the Class A rankings in the process.
But Culver’s roster returned to full strength, the Cavs righted the ship in Week 9 with their first regular-season win over Northern State Conference foe LaVille in three years, and opened Sectional 33 play with a 49-7 rout over Lake Central on the road last week.
And they’ve learned some lessons along the way.
