John A. Buswell

INDIANAPOLIS â John A. Buswell, 85, of Indianapolis, passed away Oct. 26, 2013. He was born Dec. 13, 1927 in Culver to the late Samuel Herbert and Lillie Mae Seese Buswell.
John served his country in the U.S. Navy during WW II. During the Korean War, he was with the MCB6 Battalion. He was employed at Indiana Bell, retiring in 1986 and was a member of the Pioneers of America.

BURR OAK, Mich. âÂ Robert R. (Bob) Wolfinger, age 91, passed away Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013 at his home. Bob was born in Constantine, Mich. on Oct. 27, 1921, a son of Samson and Amanda (Smith) Wolfinger. Bob attended school in Constantine, Mich. and served in the U.S. Army during WW II serving in the European Campaign in Africa, Sicily and Italy. On July 19, 1947 Bob married Evelyn L. Sawyer in Syracuse. She preceded him in death Feb. 22, 1993. On April 4, 2009 he married Josephine (Mull) Stevens in Sturgis, Mich.

WINONA LAKE âÂ Evelyn Lucille Hamell, age 91, of Winona Lake and formerly of Syracuse passed away at 11:10 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013 at Grace Village Health Care of Winona Lake.
She was a resident of Kosciusko County for the past 46 years where she was a homemaker and attended Christâs Covenant Church of Warsaw. Evelyn worked for a number of years as a cook and housekeeper for Eli Lilly in Syracuse.Â Â Â

DAVIE, Fla. âÂ Robert C. Smith, 85, of Davie, Fla., formerly of Mentone, died at 8:36 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, 2013 at Vitas Hospice North Shore Medical Center, Lauderdale Lakes, Fla.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughter Sara Jo (Sal) Murria of Davie, Fla.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 3-6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013 at King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone. Funeral is at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mentone Cemetery.

Nova was born Aug. 17, 1930 in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of Hugh M. and Esther (French) Cobb.

BREMEN âÂ Linda Cheryl (Stephey) Hinkle, 68, of Bremen died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013 at the Community Hospital of Bremen.
She is survived by her husband, Pastor Gary Hinkle of Bremen; a daughter, Christi (Matt) Weston of Kouts; a son, Dwight (Jennifer) Hinkle of OâFallon, Mo.; three grandchildren; and four sisters, Donna Jean (Robert) Eagle, Janice Bridges, Glenice (Fred) Becknell and Karen (Larry) Miller.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013 at Bremen Missionary Church. Burial will follow at the Bremen Cemetery.

MILFORD â Marilyn âSueâ Wolferman, 81, of Milford passed away Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013 at her residence. She was born Feb. 26, 1932 in Fort Wayne to Otto and Elva (Charlton) Wiggs. She married Donald P. Wolferman on Aug. 20, 1950; he preceded her in death Dec. 20, 2008.

PLYMOUTH â Fannie S. Partain, 79, of Plymouth passed away on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013 at 12:55 p.m. in Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home, Plymouth.
Fannie was born on a hill in Wynne, Ark. on Sept. 12, 1934 to John J. and Sarah Irene Evans Dobbins. She attended grade school in Arkansas.
She married Leeman Franklin Smith in 1952 in Arkansas. In her early years, she worked for Addison Shoe Factory in Arkansas. She then married Bobby Floyd Partain. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1974.
