Shirley B. Paxton
Oct. 3, 1935 – May 5, 2013
GRANGER — Shirley B. Paxton, 77, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, May 5, 2013, after a long illness. She was born Oct. 3, 1935 to Leon and Edith Shaftick in South Bend. She graduated from Adams High School in 1953. She retired from Miller Insurance in Bremen.

PLYMOUTH — Virginia Ilene Elder, 82, Plymouth, died Thursday at her residence.
Surviving are her husband, Donald; two sons, John Elder of Humble, Texas, Kurt Elder of Plymouth; one daughter, Kelli Hacha of Plymouth; one sister, Sandy Fravel of Geneva; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday at 3 p.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home, 221 N. Meridian St., Portland. Burial will follow in the Salamonia Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 1 – 3 p.m. Memorials can be made to the choice of the donor.

PLYMOUTH — Alonzo “Lonnie†H. Sayre, 68, of Plymouth, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at 8:20 p.m., at Elkhart Hospice House, in Elkhart, after a brief illness.

PLYMOUTH — Amber Gayheart, 23, of Plymouth, formerly of Knox, died May 7, 2013.
She is survived by her parents, Roy Gayheart and Rhonda (Clemons) Kay; three sons, Riley Clemons, Caleb Clemons, Kaiden Houston of Plymouth; grandparents, Patricia Moore of Grovertown, Ronald and Kathy Moore of Rochester; and four sisters, Jody Gayheart, Kendra Dalka, Jessica Hopper, Trenadie Gayheart.
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. CDT Monday, May 13, 2013 at M.C. Smith Funeral Home, Knox. Memorial service will follow at 6 p.m.

PLYMOUTH — Wilma Faye Wagoner-Renforth, 88, of Plymouth went into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, at 3 p.m., Monday, May 6, 2013, at Miller’s Merry Manor, in Plymouth.
Wilma was born Nov. 5, 1924, in the La Paz area, to Sherman Sr. and Thelma Wright Emmons. She grew up with eight brothers and one sister. Wilma graduated from La Paz High School in the class of 1942. On Nov. 5, 1944, she married Paul F. Wagoner Jr., of Plymouth, who preceded her in death, June 1, 1992.

PLYMOUTH — Mary Lou Thompson, 89, and a resident of Marshall County since 1967, passed away in her home at 5:10 p.m. May 6, 2013.
Mary Louise was born in Pekin to John J. and Mattie F. (Davis) Tash. Mary Lou graduated from Hanover College in 1947 and completed her graduate work at Indiana University. She was a member of the Phi Mu Sorority.
On June 3, 1950 Mary Lou married Richard L. Thompson in South Bend. He preceded her in death Oct. 20, 1975.

PLYMOUTH — Michael (Mike) Glenn Rhodes, 66, of Plymouth died at 11:18 a.m., Saturday, May 4, 2013, at his home.Â
He is survived by his mother, Mae Rhodes of Plymouth; his son, Bryan (Lisa) Rhodes of Avilla; one grandchild; his sisters, Nancy Lewallen of North Carolina and Sandra Michael of Plymouth; and his brother, David Rhodes of Florida.
The Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 W. Madison St., Plymouth has been entrusted with the arrangements. There will be no services held. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be at a later date.

PEYTON, Colo. — Helen Louise Wright, 95, Peyton, Colo. formerly of Bourbon went to be with Dale at 11:30 p.m. April 15, 2013 at Life Care Center of Colorado Springs.
Helen was born Jan. 31, 1918, in Bourbon to Harvey and Pearl Parks Byrer. On May 12, 1935 she married Dale Edward Wright who preceded her in death Jan. 19, 2006. They had 71 years of marriage and organized the Golden Butterflies club in Golf Lakes Estates, where they spent their last 31 winters.

ARGOS — Harold Dimmitt Warner, 93, of Warsaw, formerly of the Argos community died May 4, 2013 at 11:55 p.m. at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw following a sudden illness.
He was born Dec. 4, 1919 in Escondido, Calif. to Vernon T. and Leila (Dimmitt) Warner.
He had lived with his daughter in Warsaw for the past eight months, but had spent his whole life in the Argos community.
On Feb. 29, 1939 in Argos, he married Velma Lucille Heims.
