PLYMOUTH — Robert C. Miller, 84, of Plymouth, died at 12 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth.
He was born May 22, 1926 in Columbia City, to William and Margaurite Miller and lived in Marshall County for 22 years.
Jan. 18, 1945 he married his high-school sweetheart, Barbara Lou (Meier) Miller, in Columbia City, and together they shared 64 years with each other. She preceded him in death Dec. 31, 2007. He was employed with Dana Corporation in Fort Wayne from 1945 to 1976 and retired from a management position.

ROCHESTER — Helen Nichols, 90, of Rochester, died at 4:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 2010 at her granddaughter’s home.
She is survived by two daughters, Beverly Nichols of Rochester and Jo Ann Nichols of Fort Wayne; a son, John (Angela) Nichols of Rochester; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29 and one hour prior to services Tuesday at Good Family Funeral Home,1200 W. 18th St., Rochester.                              Â

PLYMOUTH — Edith G. “Dee” Pittsford, 65, a resident of North 5th Street, Plymouth has died of natural causes at 10:47 p.m. Thursday evening, Nov. 25, 2010 in the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center – ER.
Edith was born in Knoxville, Tenn. July 11, 1945, the daughter of Harmon and Gladys J. (Moore) Woods. She graduated from East High School in Knoxville. In 1964 the family moved to Plymouth.
Aug. 23, 1982 in Arlington, Texas, she married Edgar Pittsford, who then preceded her in death in September of 1992.

PLYMOUTH — Rosebud Ferrell, 90, of Plymouth, died at 12:42 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 2010 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.
She was born Aug. 31, 1920 in Lebanon, Ind. to Russell and Vivian (Meadows) Dismore.
She lived most of her life in the Marshall County Community She married Howard Ferrell Sr. June 17, 1939 in Waukegan, Ill. He preceded her in death Jan. 6, 1983.
She was a clerk at Madison Stevens IGA Grocery Store and Grolich Grocery Store, both of Argos.

PLYMOUTH — Margaurite L. “Maggie” McHargue, 78, died at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2010 in the home of her daughter and in the care of her loving family.
Maggie was born in Plymouth on April 22, 1932, the daughter of John T. and Ada R. (Watkins) Gaines. She attended Plymouth schools and was a lifetime Plymouth resident who formerly resided in the Westgate Apartments.

LAKELAND, Fla. — Ann Bottorff, 80, of Lakeland, Fla. died Tuesday, Nov. 16 2010, at Palm Terrace Good Shepherd Hospice Unit in Lakeland.
She is survived by sons, Rev. David Milton Bottorff of Darien Ill., Rev. Chris A.E. Bottorff of Crown Point, and Mark Robert Bottorff of Mishawaka; and five grandchildren.
Visitation took place from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19 at St. Paul Lutheran
Church, 4450 Harden Blvd., Lakeland, Fla.
Funeral services took place at 10 a.m. Friday at the church.
Burial followed at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.

WALKERTON — Eldora M. Heim died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010 in Providence House, South Bend.Â
She is survived by her husband, Alfred Heim; a son, Henry Lombardi of Salt Lake City, Utah; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no services or visitation. Cremation will take place. Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel, assisted the family arrangements.

PLYMOUTH — V. Stuart Adams, 85, of 667 Windmill Drive, Plymouth, passed away Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, at 1:47 p.m., in his home. Â
Stuart was born Dec. 10, 1924, in Perrysville, Ohio, to Virgil and Elva Ruth (Abair) Adams.
He served his country in the Navy in WWII. Stuart, and the former Pat Baker, were married in Plymouth, April 27, 1974. Stuart was in partnership, with his brother Clifford, of Culligan Soft Water from 1951 to 1976. Stuart had been a member of the Moose Lodge, Toastmaster’s, the VFW #1162, and Plymouth Kilwinning Lodge #149.    Â

FORT WAYNE — Dewey P. Shearer, 85, passed away Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.Â
Born in Mishawaka, Dewey graduated from West Township High School in 1943. He then went to Indiana University to earn his B.S. in Marketing in 1950. Dewey worked as the manager and co-owner at the Firestone Store in Marion, for 37 years, retiring in 1987.Â
