GRIFFITH — Karen M. Wood, 62, of Griffith, passed away at 8:24 p.m., at the Riley Residence in Munster.
Karen was born June 12, 1948 in Hammond, to Max and Helen (Cromley) Sechner Jr. After her mother’s death, her father was later married to Eleanor Sechner.
She was a 1966 graduate of Griffith High School and attended one year of college. On May 13, 1976 Karen was married to Michael Wood in Kankakee, Ill. He preceded her in death.

ROCHESTER — Esther F. Books, 95, of Rochester, died at the Life Care Center Wednesday, Jan. 12.
She is survived by three grandchildren; two great-grandsons; one brother; a son-in-law and his wife; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester, and one hour prior to services Monday.
Services are Monday, Jan. 17 at 11 a.m.
Burial will be at Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Hope Hospice of Fulton County.

PLYMOUTH — Marian L. Craiger, 89, formerly of Elkhart, passed away at 10:42 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011 in the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center – Plymouth Campus.
Always caring of others, she is now in the loving care of her Lord Savior.
In August of this past year Marian returned from the mission fields in the Dominican Republic where she assisted her son and daughter-in-law as a “prayer warrior and caregiver.†She has resided at Miller’s Assisted Living in Plymouth since her return.

NORTH LIBERTY — Linda E. Gibson, 67, of North Liberty and Walkerton, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2011 in Richfield, Utah.
She is survived by her children: Pamela Jean (Larry) Forster of Richfield, Utah, Kathryn Louise (Brian) Shidler of Mishawaka, and Luther Edwin Gibson of Riverside, Calif.; sister, Susan Estelle (Don) Taylor of Yucalpa, Calif.; brother, James Alan (Jan) Miller of Argos; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation took place from 3 to 6 p.m. (EST) Tuesday, Jan. 11 at Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Home, 408 Roosevelt Road, Walkerton.

She is survived by her husband, Jack L. Elliott; daughters, Candace Ernsperger and Sunshine Hummell; sons, Jesse and Earl Elliot; eight grandchildren; parents, Don and Sally Shaw; sister, Starla Williams; brother, Marvin Shaw and grandparents, Mary and Dick Heil.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13 at Palmer Funeral Home, 314 S. Michigan St. Lakeville.
Funeral Services will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

PLYMOUTH — Rose F. Campiti-Copeland, 94, of King Road, Plymouth, passed away at 8:47 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, at Miller’s Merry Manor, in Plymouth.
Rose was born Sept. 5, 1916, in Holsopple, Penn., to Sebastain and Concetta (Codispodi) Britz. Rose and Frank J. Campiti were united in marriage in 1948. Frank passed away in 1962. In 1965 Rose and Paul Copeland were married. Paul then passed away in 2007. Rose had worked at the Corey Rubber Company, in Marion, Ohio, and then at Marion General Hospital, as a Physical Therapist.

ELKHART — Dale Dinkledine, 85, of Elkhart, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011 at Hubbard Hill Estates in Elkhart.Â
He is survived by his son, Tom (Susan) Dinkledine of Russiaville; daughters, Nancy (Doug) Weber of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Jill (Dennis) Hendrix of Elkhart; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14 at the Bethel United Methodist Church in Elkhart.
Funeral services will take place a at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, at the church. Â

KEWANNA — Martha Ann Cook, 83, of Kewanna, passed away at 9 p.m., Friday, Jan. 7, 2011 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth.
Born Dec. 12, 1927 in Kewanna, she was the daughter of the late Guy Ernest and Jessie Bell (Lisey) Urbin. March 13, 1946 she married Kenneth H. Cook and he preceded her in death May 22, 2005.
She was a 1945 Kewanna High School graduate.
