PLYMOUTH — Garneta Light, 81, died of natural causes in Miller’s Merry Manor, 635 Oakhill Ave., at 11:20 p.m. Sunday, March 27, 2011.
Garneta was born May 28, 1929, in Tyner, Ind., the daughter of Ray and Agnes Rupel Stull. She graduated from Tyner High School.
She was first married to Don Balsley and later married Willard Light.
Garneta worked as a dietician at several hospitals and nursing homes in Indiana and Illinois.

LAKEVILLE — Robert Allen Yeo, 55, passed away at 3:40 p.m. March 25, 2011 at Regency Place in South Bend, from cancer.
Robert was the son of Ronald and Mary Jane Yeo. He will be remembered lovingly by his mother; and siblings, Ben (Peggy) Yeo of Bremen; Barb (Lynn) Donathen of Tippecanoe; Beverly (Harold) Roberts of Bremen; Brenda Yeo (Kevin Frick) of Lakeville; and Russell (Jennifer) Yeo of Bourbon. Robert’s father, Ronald, preceded him in death.
Roy ‘Jack’ Hughes

PLYMOUTH — Roy “Jack†Hughes, age 91, of 400 W. Washington St., Plymouth, Ind., passed away at 10:09 a.m., Monday, March 28, 2011, at his home.
Jack was born March 9, 1920, in Plymouth, to Walter and Ethel (Personett) Hughes. He was retired from the Plymouth Foundry and the Marshall County Highway Department. He also worked part-time for Dr. Connell, doing landscaping. Jack lived most his adult life in the Plymouth and Argos areas. He spent his childhood in Bremen, Ind.

PLYMOUTH — Garneta Light, 81, of Plymouth, died Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth.
She is survived by daughters, Karen (Gene) Curless of New Haven, Ind., and Joyce (Robert) Breeden of Utica, Ill.; sons, Gregory (Joetta) Balsley of Plymouth, and Brian Balsley of Boulder, Wyo.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place from 12 to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

PLYMOUTH — Darleen E. Xaver, 69, of East La Porte Street, Plymouth, Ind., passed away Thursday, March 24, 2011, at 12:35 p.m. at her home.Â
She was born July 15, 1941, in Plymouth, to Albin “Bud†and Edythe (Smith) Wilson. Darleen graduated from West High School and was a former officer of the West High School Alumni. She was married to John Xaver from 1961 to1978.

Lorraine Mercer was born May 10, 1924 in Mexico, Mo. to John and Hazel (Lutton) Smith and lived in the area for 49 years, coming from St. Louis, Mo.Â
May 30, 1940 in Charleston, Mo. she was married to James A. Mercer who preceded her in death in 1995. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Greg Mercer.Â
Adam R. Broeker

CULVER — Adam R. Broeker, 29, of Culver, passed away at 5:42 p.m. March 26, 2011 at his home.
Adam was born to Robert and Lois (Bradley) Broeker July 15, 1981 in South Bend. He was a 2000 graduate of Culver Military Academy. After meeting on a blind date, he was later married to Allysa Tchop, Sept. 23, 2009. She survives.

She is survived by her son, Peter (Candi) Devine of Argos; mother, Jean Devine of Grovertown; six grandchildren; partner, Rick Papp of Fish Lake; brothers: Bill, Wayne, James and John; and sister, Lorna Cisarik.Â

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Douglas Jay “Smooth†Carter passed away Monday March 21, 2011.
He was born in Plymouth, Ind. Nov. 18,1957. Doug lived in New Orleans, La. and later settled in St. Petersburg, Fla. where he has lived for 25 years. He was a job site foreman for West Tampa Glass for 15 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Fern Estelle (Keyser) Carter.

She is survived by her husband Mark Minix; daughter, Katie Minix of North Judson; mother, Mary (Dean Miller) Reynolds of Knox; father, Eugene Farler of North Judson and one brother, Eugene (Diana) Farler of Rochester.
There will be no services or visitation.
