CULVER â€” Betty J. Banks, 78, of Culver, died at 2:50 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2011 in Culver.
She is survived by a son, Jimmy (Beverly) Banks; daughter, Brenda (Tommy) Gravely; sister, Polly (Robert) Dukes; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, April 15 at Odom Funeral Home, Culver.
Funeral services will take place at 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Leiters Ford IOOF Cemetery.

NAUGATUCK, Conn. â€”Â Mary E. (Stover) Mallory, 87, of Naugatuck, Conn., died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at Waterbury Hospital, after a short illness and courageous fight for life.
She was the wife of Robert W. Mallory.

CULVER â€” Barbara Esther (Whan) Hughes, 94, of Walnut Creek, Calif., formerly of Culver, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011 at Sophiaâ€™s Care House in Walnut Creek, Calif.
She is survived by two daughters, Johanna Trickovic of Orinda, Calif., and Greta Berlin of bar Sur Loup France; son, Eric of Oakland, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

PLYMOUTH â€”Â Kenneth L. Luse, 80, a lifetime Plymouth resident, passed away in the company of his family following an extended illness. Ken resided with his loving wife Mary of 61 years, on Redbud Drive.
Ken had many friends and was a regular at the McDonaldâ€™s morning coffee club. Kenâ€™s comic nature never knew a stranger as he sought humor in everyday life. Most importantly he was a devoted Christian and family man who was â€śalways thereâ€ť for them and the needs of others.

BREMEN â€” Harold Eshelman, 86, of Bremen, formerly of South Bend, died at 4:35 p.m. April 5, 2011 at in Bremen Health Care.
He is survived by sisters: Clara Webb of Osceola, and Betty Richards, Patricia Promroy, Mary Jones, Phyllis Northcutt, and Cindy Keyser, all of South Bend; two brothers, Richard Shank of Jacksonville, Fla. and Thomas Shank of Elkhart; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 16 at Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. aSaturday at the funeral home.

PLYMOUTH â€”Â Joyce I. Dawson, 85, of Heber City, Utah, formerly of Plymouth, Ind., died of natural causes in the Rocky Mountain Care Center, Heber City, Utah.
Joyce was born in South Bend, Ind., July 14, 1925.Â She was the daughter of Ray and Nancy Yoder Granning.Â She attended South Bend Schools.
March 3, 1946, in South Bend, she and Charles E. Dawson, Jr., were married.Â Charles died April 16, 1992.

PLYMOUTH â€” Barry F. Wiscons, age 64, of 2401 N. Michigan Street #37, Plymouth, passed away at 7:28 a.m., Monday, April 11, 2011, at his home.Â
Barry was born April 16, 1946, in Chicago, Ill., to Frank H. Wiscons and Louise (Nardiello) Wiscons. He was the second child, and the first son born, of six children. Barry was retired, from the Holiday Inn in Plymouth, as manager, after 25 years of service. He loved nature, animals, enjoyed taking walks in the park, and handing out treats to his â€śgrand-pets.â€ť
