PLYMOUTH — Randy Earl Swango, age 61, a Plymouth resident for the past 29 years, died suddenly at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center-Plymouth Campus, after failing health that he has had for the past 12 years.
Randy, the son of Melvin E and Norma Jean (Bishop) Swango, was born March 19, 1951 in Rochester. He attended Rochester schools.
He was the beloved husband of Cindy M. (Patrick) Swango, who survives. They were married Feb. 14, 1987 in Plymouth.

CULVER — Robert Kepler, 90, Culver, passed away at his home at 3:25 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013.
Born the third of five children of Guy Vernon Kepler and Trella Elizabeth Thompson Kepler, “Bob” was born Dec. 28, 1922 in a log cabin on the family farm on 18th Road east of Culver, Union Township, Marshall County. Bob’s family included his parents, brother Bill (Pat) Kepler, sisters Helen (Phil) Peer, Letty (Ralph) Masten and Jane (Cecil) Warner.

Hilda was an extraordinary, one-of-a-kind wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her family and friends will always remember her ever optimistic spirit, her never ending energy and her wise and truthful words. She will be greatly missed.

LAKEVILLE — Erma G. Miller, 99, of Lakeville, passed away at 9:40 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth. She was born Oct. 27, 1913 in Elkhart County to the late Ervin and Cora E. (Shalliol) Hygema and remained a lifelong resident. On Jan. 26, 1932 in Elkhart County, she married Raymond H. Miller who preceded her in death May 14, 2002.

PENSACOLA, Fla. — Mildred Virginia Curtis passed away Jan. 5, 2013 at her daughter’s home in Pensacola, Fla. where she had received loving care for several years from her daughter, Colleen G. (Curtis) Grozdanovski, and son-in-law, Petar Grozdanovski.
Born April 28, 1920 in Culver, she was the daughter of the late Henry L. and Rubie (Lasch) Henning of Culver.

TIPPECANOE — Jane Louise Bailey, 85, of Tippecanoe passed away Jan. 15, 2013 at 11:35 a.m. at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth following a brief illness.
She was born Aug. 16, 1927 in Alanson, Mich. to Mamie Dicus. She lived all her life in the Tippecanoe community.
On Aug. 28, 1948 in the Walnut Church of the Brethren, in Argos, she married Glendon E. Bailey. He preceded her Aug. 21, 2004.

He is survived by his wife, Doris; daughters, Lisa (Paul) Burris of Wabash, Jenni (Mark) Heeter of Nappanee, and Annette (Randy) Spitaels of Nappanee; son, Steve (Deb) Shively of Wakarusa; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and three sisters, Sally (Ernest) Heighway of Richmond, Eleanor (Glen) Deaton of Hope, and Nancy (Larry) McPherron of Plymouth.
