DONALDSON — Elizabeth Katherine “Betty K. Scheetz”, 94, was reunited with her family on Easter morning, Sunday, March 31, 2013, at 5:20 a.m. in the Catherine Kasper Life Center in Donaldson. A longtime Plymouth resident, she had resided at the Catherine Kasper Life Center for the last four years.
The daughter of Lawrence B. and Katherine M. (Ahler) Scheetz, Betty was born July 16, 1918 in Monticello. She graduated from Plymouth High School in 1937.

CULVER — Robbin C. Johnson, age 52, of Culver, passed away at 9:57 p.m., Sunday, March 31, 2013, at his mother’s home in Plymouth.Â

ROCHESTER — Alice M. Mattix, 87, died at 2:30 a.m. March 31, 2013.Â
She is survived by her daughters, Shari Norris of Carmel and Barbara (James) Michels of Evansville; a sister, Margaret Brenner of Mesa, Ariz.; and five grandchildren.

Clyde John Lohse

ARGOS — Clyde John Lohse, 60, a lifetime Marshall County resident, passed away following an illness at 9:10 a.m. Saturday, March 30, 2013. Clyde died as he had wished, at home in the company and care of his loving family. For the past 31 years, Clyde has made his home in rural Argos.
Clyde was born the youngest child of Wilbert H. and Dorothy M. (Tratebas) Lohse, in Plymouth on Sept. 5, 1952.
He graduated from Plymouth High School with the class of 1971. There he was a member of the track team.
James Adams

PLYMOUTH — James I. Adams, 93, of Plymouth, passed away at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth.
Jim was born Aug. 19, 1919 in Van Buren Township, Putnam County, Ohio, to Virgil and Ruth (Abair) Adams. Jim worked with his brothers, Robert, Stu, and Clifford at Culligan Soft Water in Plymouth. He later moved to Columbia City to help with the family farm, where he eventually retired at the age of 55. Jim moved to Florida for 30 years before moving to Plymouth seven years ago.

PLYMOUTH — William Monroe “Jay” Biggs died Sunday morning, March 31, 2013 at his home in Plymouth.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; his children, Betty Kay (Robert) Eley of Argos, Chuck J. (Christine) Biggs of Plymouth, and William “Gene” (Karen) Biggs of South Bend; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m. and for one hour prior to funeral services at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 4, in the funeral home.

ROCHESTER — Nikki Lynne Foster Powell, 69, of Rochester, died at 4:25 p.m., Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Central, Lafayette.
She is survived by her husband, Jon; two daughters, Michelle Morgan and Leslee (Glenn) Goss; a sister, Shari (Jim) Hartzler all of Rochester; and five grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 6 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2013 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester. Visitation is from 3-6 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.

DONALDSON — Edward Julius Krason, 87, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013 at his residence in the Maria Center apartments, a part of The Center at Donaldson sponsored by the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ in Donaldson. He has made his home there since 2003 and was a former resident of St. Paul’s Retirement Center in South Bend.
A Navy veteran, Edward had also served as a Roman Catholic priest in the communities of Ft. Wayne, Huntington, Decatur, Garrett and Goshen.

PLYMOUTH — Gladys Marie Kuhn, 69, of Plymouth died at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013 in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, following a brief illness.
She is survived by a daughter, Rhonda Jo Overmyer of Plymouth; a son, Michael D. (Jackie) Overmyer of Bremen; two grandchildren; two brothers: Kenneth L. (Betty) Steininger of Rochester and Cledith D. (Sarah) Steininger of Gary; and a sister, Edith Kay (Gary) Heishman of Ft. Wayne.
