SOUTH BEND â Ramona Dee (Robb) Cook, 50, a resident of South Bend, formerly of Plymouth, passed away unexpectedly in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Mona was enrolled in the Indiana Organ Procurement Program where she has now provided life and hope for many. She joined her mother and others who have gone before, at 9:46 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2013.

LOS ANGELES â Nicholas A. Rhoads, 35, passed away in Los Angeles, Calif. on Wednesday morning, Jan. 16, 2013.
Nicholas was born Jan. 4, 1978 in South Bend to Arnold and Patricia (Buschman) Rhoads. He spent most of his life in the Plymouth area. He attended Ancilla College and Purdue University.

LaPORTE âÂ Oscar âOzâ B. Smith Jr., 89, died Jan. 26, 2013 at his home.
He is survived by his wife, Georgiana; sons, Gary (Cathy) Smith of Woodbridge, Va., Michael G. (Gloria) Smith of LaPorte; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation was Monday, Jan. 28, 2013 at Braman & Sons Memorial Chapel, 108 S. Main St., Knox from 6 to 7 p.m. CST with a Masonic service to follow. Funeral services will be held today at 2:30 p.m. CST at the funeral home with visitation from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

PLYMOUTH âÂ Alma Marybell Dennie, 98, of Plymouth passed away Jan. 26, 2013 at 1:15 a.m. at Millerâs Merry Manor of Plymouth. She had been in declining health for the past year.
She was born Sept. 14, 1914 in Elwood to Day and Martha (Mophet) Yarling. Alma had lived in the Argos community all of her life.
On Aug. 12, 1933 in Argos, she married Chancey J. Dennie; he preceded her Dec. 20, 1995.

PLYMOUTH â Myrtle C. Nye, 102, a resident of the area for more than 60 years, passed away at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2013 in the Pilgrim Manor, Plymouth.
Myrtle Claire Nye was born, on her parentsâ kitchen table, in Inwood on Sept. 5, 1910 to Annon S. and Edna Florence Catherine (Anderson) Nye. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1928 and was a Beta Sigma Phi.

KNOX â Lorraine R. Cummins, 57, of Knox, passed away Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 at 2:44 a.m. in the I.U. Health â Starke Hospital. She had been in failing health.
On Oct. 30, 1955 in Plymouth, Lorraine was born the daughter of Sherman Ray and Lula Mae (Nitcher) Pritchett. She attended Plymouth schools.
Lorraine R. Smith became the bride of Jimmie Dale Cummins on June 4, 1975 in Plymouth and they shared a wonderful life together. Lorraine was heartbroken at his passing July 10, 2011.

TIPPECANOE â Jerry Goble, 57, of Tippecanoe died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013 at 1:43 p.m. at Vibra Hospital of Fort Wayne.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie; his son, Jerry (Michelle) Goble of Warsaw; one daughter, Amanda (James) Scarberry of Bourbon; four grandchildren; four brothers, Kennith (Dinah) Goble of Tippecanoe, Johnnie (Loranna) Goble of Pierceton, Billy Joe (Rhonda) Goble of Warsaw; and Roy (Kay) Thomas of Etna Green.
Visitation was held Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013 from 11 a.m. â 4 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.

ATWOOD âÂ Margery Ann Kintzel, 89, of Atwood, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013 unexpectedly at her home.
She is survived by her children, Joe L. (Donna Miner) Kintzel of Warsaw, Dona L. (Ervin) Lambright of Plain City, Ohio and Jack A. and (Mollie Hoffer) Kintzel of Warsaw; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Norma Pinkerton of Warsaw and brother, Kent (Nancy) Adams of Winona Lake.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013 at Etna Green Cemetery.

COVINGTON, Ga. âÂ Guy Bixel, 80, of Covington, Ga. died Jan. 23, 2013.
He was born Dec. 9, 1932 to Henry and Jennie Bixel and served his country from May 1951 to August 1953 with the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Willadeen and Betty. Guy is survived by his loving wife, Diane, and children in many forms: Brian, Lisa, Brenda, Michael, Emily, Jessica, Mark (and Lori), and Matt. There are also several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many, many friends.

PLYMOUTH â Kenneth O. Henry, 93, a former resident of Plymouth, passed away at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22 in the Bremen Health Care Center.
Kenneth was born in Winamac on Nov. 25, 1919, the son of Omer and Nellie (Hodge) Henry. He attended Winamac Schools and March 27, 1942 he set off to serve in the United States Army - 11th Airborne Division attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. It was Feb. 16, 1945 as a Squad Leader in the Philippines that he was wounded under enemy fire and received a Purple Heart. He was honorable discharged Oct. 20, 1945.
