WARSAW — H. Albert Earl, 69, of Warsaw died Jan. 29, 2013 at 5:30 p.m. at his residence. He had been in declining health since October 2012.
He was born Jan. 17, 1944 in Cumberland Gap, Tenn. to Jack and Edith R. (Stanifer) Earl. He has lived in Kosciusko County since 1955, coming from Claiborne County, Tenn.
On Nov. 22, 1964 in rural Kosciusko County, he married Jennie Lou Lee. They shared 49 years together.
Norma B. Dillingham

PLYMOUTH — Norma B. Dillingham, 92, died at 9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, in Majors Hospital, Shelbyville.
Norma was born Feb. 10, 1920, in Plymouth, the sixth child of Lewis (L.C.) and Delia M. Snyder Neidlinger. She grew up on a 20-acre farm on Lake Avenue.
Norma graduated from Plymouth’s Washington High School with the class of 1937, and worked for a year in the Recorder’s office at the Marshall County Courthouse.
Gordon Dean Ecker

PLYMOUTH — As with his favorite song “I’ll Fly Away”, when I die Hallelujah by and by, heading home is our loving husband and father. Gordon Dean Ecker, 82, a lifetime Marshall County resident, died at his home on North Michigan Road, Plymouth, at 12 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013.
Gordon was born in Donaldson on Aug. 2, 1930, the son of Russell and Florabelle Emish Ecker.
Gordon and Esther Marie McIntire were married Dec. 15, 1950. Together, they raised their family of nine children.

La PORTE — Wallace Henry Hamman, age 96, of La Porte and formerly of Plymouth passed away Tuesday morning, Jan. 29, 2013 at La Porte Hospital. He was born July 16, 1916 the son of the late Edward and Louise (Frank) Hamman in Prescott, Wis. On May 23, 1942 he married Lorraine Margaret Martin, she preceded him in death Nov. 9, 2010.

BREMEN — Ruth E. Beachy, 37, of Bremen died Monday, Jan. 28, 2013 at her home.
She is survived by her husband, Todd of Bremen; a daughter, Trinity Beachy; three stepchildren, Cody, Danica, and Dion Beachy; her parents, Eli and Clara Borkholder of Bremen; seven brothers, Steve Borkholder, Glenn Borkholder, Everett Borkholder, Paul Borkholder, all of Nappanee, Marvin Borkholder, Lyle Borkholder, and Nelson Borkholder, all of Bremen; five sisters, Sharon Miller, Margaret Borkholder, Mary Schmucker, Regina Bontrager, and Nora Borkholder, all of Bremen.

PLYMOUTH — Norma B. Dillingham, 92, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, in Majors Hospital, Shelbyville.
She is survived by sons, Timothy N. and Robert Lewis.
Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral services will follow visitation at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
Burial will be in the New Oakhill Cemetery following the services.

ELKHART — Mrs. Beulah Y. Philbrook, 91, of Elkhart, passed away at Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Valley View of Elkhart on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013 following an extended illness.
She was born the youngest of 10 children April 19, 1921 in Marshall County to the late Watson S. and Mary Alice (Andrews) York. On Valentine’s Day in 1942 she married Everett G. Philbrook in East Haven, Conn. He passed away in Elkhart in 2000. She is also preceded in death by her nine siblings.

LAKEVILLE — Yolanda Fonseca, 51, of Lakeville, passed away at 10:15 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family, following an illness.Â
Yolanda was born Jan. 29, 1961, in Blue Island, Ill., to Israel Sr. and Martha (Olivarez) Fonseca. Yolanda had been employed by NISCO, (Nishikawa Standard Company, LLC), in Bremen, before her illness. She was a member of Saint Michael Catholic Church, in Plymouth. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — George Davenport Jr., formerly of Lapaz, passed peacefully with his son at his bedside, Wednesday, Jan. 23 at a nursing facility outside of Knoxville, Tenn.Â
George was born Feb. 5, 1935 to George and Mabel Davenport on the family farm 2 miles east of Lapaz where he and his wife Paula Marie built their home and raised three children, Kim Marie, Jodi Kay, and Rick George lll.
