NAPPANEE — Cheryl A. Gonzalez, 57, of 500 Short St., Nappanee, died at 8:05 p.m., Friday, March 9, 2012 at her residence after a long illness.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel V. Gonzalez; sons, Don C. Gonzalez of Lakeville, Mark A. Gonzalez of Richmond, Va., James P. Gonzalez of Nappanee; three grandchildren; and sisters, Susan (Glen) Hochstetler of Nappanee, Cindy (Joe) Lynn of Bremen, and Mary Robbins of Wakarusa.

Bernice Evelyn (Ersepke) Dietz

PLYMOUTH — Bernice Evelyn Ersepke Dietz, known affectionately to her friends as “Berne,” died March 10, 2012. She was 82 years old.
Berne was born to Bernhard and Ethel Longmire Ersepke in San Francisco, Calif., Aug. 22, 1929.
She graduated from George Washington High School in 1947, and later attended San Francisco City College.

PLYMOUTH — A lifetime Marshall County resident, Mary Marie Klein, 87, passed away of natural causes at 2:55 a.m., Friday morning, March 9, 2012, in Pilgrim Manor.
Mary was born in Tyner, Jan. 23, 1925, and raised as the daughter of Fay E. and Rebecca V. (Trump) Ward. She attended Tyner grade school and graduated from Plymouth’s Lincoln High School in 1942.

BREMEN — Michael A. Kirk, 19, formerly of North Judson, died Wednesday, March 7, 2012 in Memorial Hospital, South Bend.
He is survived by his wife, Brittney; children, Honey Kirk and Phoenix Kirk, both of Knox; parents, Rick and Rebecca Kirk of North Judson; three brothers, Ryan (Tara) Kirk, Joshua Kirk and Jeremy Kirk, all of North Judson and grandparents, Eileen Law of Hobart, Wallace Law of Lake Station and Robert Kirk of Madison.Â

ARGOS — Donald R. Risner, 83, of Argos, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. at home in the care of his loving family. He had been in failing health.
Don was born May 25, 1928 at Charleston, W.Va. to Isaac Risner and Dora Busby Risner.Â
He has been a resident of the Etna Green and Bourbon area the past 62 years. Don served in the United States Army during World War II from 1946–1947 and then finished his GED after his tour of duty.

She was born in Noblesville, May 30, 1914 to the late Harry Alva and Delia Eva (Pitts) Smeltzer. May 4, 1936 in Culver, Irene married Culver W. Miller, who preceded her in death July 26, 1965.

PLYMOUTH —Dorothy E. “Dot” Neidig, 91, a resident of McQueen’s Addition in Plymouth, passed away Tuesday evening, March 6, 2012 in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center - Plymouth.
Dot was born in Plymouth September 29, 1920, the daughter of Samuel R. and Edith N. (Neff) Phillips.
