PLYMOUTH â€” Victor E. Stockman, 84, a resident of Hope Boulevard in Plymouth, died at 12:59 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2012 in Pilgrim Manor Care Center.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou; a daughter; Vickie L. (Ken) Knipp of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a son, Wayne A. (Becky) Stockman of Plymouth, six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

PLYMOUTH â€”Â Stephen Douglas Slater, 63, a Mill Pond, Plymouth resident, died March 10, 2012 at his residence of natural causes.
He is survived by his wife Sherry A. (Hunley) Slater; and his father-in-law, Frederick R. Nunley of Plymouth.
Services will be held Friday, April 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth where visitation is from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. prior to services.

CULVER â€”Â James A. Baker, 59, of Culver passed away at 11:26 p.m. March 17, 2012 at the Catherine Kasper Life Center in Donaldson.
James was born to Charles and Beatrice (Adams) Baker April 15, 1952 in Plymouth. He was a 1970 graduate of Culver High School. After graduation he joined the National Guard. He loved to travel anywhere but especially enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and Hawaii. Family trips were his favorite.

PLYMOUTH â€” Travis Jon Childress, 23, a Plymouth resident, formerly of Michigan City, passed away at 7 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2012, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
The son of Randal Childress and Judith Miller Yates. Travis was born Dec. 6, 1988 in Michigan City. He had attended LaVille High School.
A construction worker, Travis liked to hunt, draw and play guitar.

BOURBON â€”Â Helen Virginia Leeper, 78, of Bourbon died March 18, 2012 surrounded by her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Janet (Edwin) Clark of Billings, Mont., Sharon (Gary) Eads of Bourbon; three sons, Deane R. (Sherrie) Leeper of Bourbon, Gene (Phyllis) Leeper of Bremen, David (Kay) Leeper of Plymouth, 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Lula Polson, Laverne Fisher Wauneta Denney and a brother Carl Leeper.

CULVER â€”Â Lois A. Day, 77, of Culver died March 14, 2012.
She is survived by her husband, Francis M. Day of Culver; sons, Dean (Pat Wright) Day of Stillwater, Mass., Dale (Shellie) Day of Pretty Lake; daughter, Linda (Sandy) Oâ€™Dell of Las Vegas, Nev.; brother, Don Yeoman of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be Saturday, March 17 at 3 p.m. at Poplar Grove Cemetery, Culver.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials may be given to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel V. Gonzalez; sons, Don C. Gonzalez of Lakeville, Mark A. Gonzalez of Richmond, Va., James P. Gonzalez of Nappanee; three grandchildren; and sisters, Susan (Glen) Hochstetler of Nappanee, Cindy (Joe) Lynn of Bremen, and Mary Robbins of Wakarusa.
