CULVER â Lifelong Culver resident Olive Violet Beck passed away Friday, Dec. 14 at Millerâs Merry Manor in Culver after an extended illness. She was surrounded by family members and her pastor. She was 86 years old.
A strong, sociable lady, Olive devoted herself to her family, her church and her community. She often joined her husband J.C. singing country and gospel songs, harmonizing sweetly in her soft country voice.

Betty was born to Raymond and Gayle Yazel Baker on May 7, 1923 in Kosciusko County. She was married to Claude âRedâ Davis in 1942 and he preceded in death Feb. 14, 2000.

She is survived by her husband, Kenny Denny; two sons, Ryan (Debra) Easterday of Rochester, Neal (Rochelle) Easterday of Warsaw; three stepdaughters, Crystal (Scott) Mitchell of Kewanna, Faye Patton, Kimberly Patton of Akron; parents, Jolly and Glenda Vaughn of Rochester; three sisters, Teresa (Kurt) Norrell of Cuero, Texas, Pamela (Robert) Gagnon of Rochester, Kisia (Rod) Ulery of Rochester; and 17 grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Edith; son, Amos H. and Annie (Burkholder) Ramer of Goshen; daughters, Lena H. Ramer, and Naomi H. Ramer, both of Goshen; one grandchild; and a brother, Enos Ramer of Wakarusa.

BREMEN â Lula Blanche Odiorne, 89, of Bremen passed away Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 at Bremen Health Care Center with all of her family by her side. She was born Aug. 19, 1923 in Bremen to Arthur and Isabelle (Nusbaum) Forsythe. She married Albert L. Odiorne May 4, 1945; he passed in July of 2011.
Blanche graduated from Bremen High School with the class of 1942. She worked as a beautician for many years and was a member of the Church of Christ in Plymouth. She enjoyed reading her Bible, going for walks and gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Cook; their daughters, Pamela (Jay) Evans of Tennessee, Robin Dollar of Texas, and Tara (Paul) Fouriner of Vermont; their sons, Randy (Mandy) Cook of Anderson and Todd Tillis of Anderson; three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; his sister, Bertha Fouche of Las Vegas, Nev.; his brothers, Kenny (Wanda) Cook of Illinois and Glenden (Evelyn) Cook of Illinois.
