Tyler James Mattix

BOURBON â Tyler James Mattix, 18, of 506 St. Bourbon St., died in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, at 9:25 a.m. Friday, Feb. 11, 2011. His death is under investigation by the St. Joseph County Coroner.
Tyler was born in South Bend, the son of Duane Mattix and Misty Stewart March 27, 1992. He attended Plymouth schools.
An athletic and active young man, Tyler enjoyed football, skate boarding, wake boarding, skiing, boating and motorcycling.
He was an avid Colts fan, and he enjoyed being with his family.

ROCHESTER â Shawn A. Schuler, 43, of S.R. 110, Rochester, passed away at 11:11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at his home.
Shawn was born Nov. 25, 1967, in Gary, to Leon A. and Arlene E. (Tarchala) Schuler. Shawn graduated from Plymouth High School in the Class of 1986. He married the former Jennifer R. Bond, Nov. 18, 1995, in LaPaz.

WHEATFIELD, Ind. â Tom Norris, age 61, of Wheatfield, Ind., passed away Monday, Feb. 7, 2011 at South Shore Hospital, Chicago, Ill. He was born May 12, 1949 in Plymouth, to Marjorie (Miller) and David F. Norris.
Ruth Irene Wallace

GLENDALE, Ariz. â Ruth âIreneâ Wallace, 85, a former Plymouth resident, died at 11:06 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, 2011 in the Life Care Center of North Glendale, Ariz.
Irene was born Feb. 18, 1925 in Plymouth, the daughter of Mack T. and Myrtle L. (Huffer) Johnson. She attended Plymouth schools.
She worked for United Technologies â Automotive Division for 23 years as a production assembler and retired in 1991. She had attended the Paseo Verde Christian Church in Peoria, Ariz.
Ireneâs favorite past-time was crocheting.
Julia R. Griewank

PLYMOUTH â Julia R. Griewank, 96, passed away of natural causes at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011 in the Pilgrim Manor Care Center. She was a lifetime Plymouth resident and lived on Hillcrest Avenue.
She was born in Plymouth on April 12, 1914 the daughter of Ernest O. and Mary M. (Seider) Holm. Julia graduated from Lincoln High School in the Class of 1932.
On April 27, 1947 in Plymouth she became the bride of Howard M. Griewank. He would precede her in death Feb. 2, 1989.

Â ELKHART â Ruth E. Hankey, 92, of Elkhart, died at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at East Lake Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Surviving are several cousins and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Esther.Â
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 14, 2011 at trinity Lutheran Church. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Rev. Robert G. Schallhorn, Jr. will officiate.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Pioneer Cemetery in North Judson.

ZEPHYR HILLS, Fla. âÂ Elizabeth J. Brunker, 77, of Zephyrhills, Fla., formerly, of Knox, died at 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, at the Florida Hospital in Zephyrhills.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Brunker; son, Paul (Jill) Thompson of Plymouth; daughter, Michelle Lynn Thompson of Zephyrhills; two grandchildren; and brothers, John Dixey and Bill Dixey both of New Jersey. Â
Visitation will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, February 11 at the Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 W. Madison St., Plymouth.

PLYMOUTH â Toby Ann Towns, 61, a longtime Plymouth resident, passed away at 4:20 p.m., Friday, Feb. 4, 2011 in the Millerâs Merry Manor, Plymouth.
Toby was born the only child of Herschel E. and Phyllis J. âJosephineâ (Eaglebarger) Towns April 16, 1949 in Gary.Â Her father was principal of Lincoln Jr. High for many years and her mother was a member of Tri-Kappa and civic-minded.Â Toby enjoyed being a part of her parentâs lives and the family involvement in the community.

PLYMOUTH âÂ William R. âBillâ Wagoner was born in Warsaw, May 29, 1952, to Roland and Bertha Wagoner. He grew up in Bourbon and was the youngest of six children.Â He passed away at home in Plymouth Feb. 3, 2011, after a brave battle with cancer.Â
