WARSAW — Clarence "Al" Hamman, 79, of Warsaw passed away Oct. 7, 2011 at 3:54 a.m. in his residence.
He was born Dec. 12, 1931 in Kosciusko County to Clarence F. and Ruth (Garrison) Hamman. June 11, 1982 he married Deloris "Jean" Geyer in Warsaw.
Clarence served in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years, retiring in 1973, then he worked for United Telephone Co. for 17 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post #49, Warsaw. He also was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Warsaw.

KNOX — Aislynn Irene Rippy died shortly after birth Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011 in Pulaski Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include her parents, Ryan and Amber Rippy; sister, Claire Duncan of Pennsylvania and many grandparents.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. CDT, Saturday, Oct. 8 at the First Pentecostal Church of Knox with visitation one hour prior to the funeral at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be given to the church. 
Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel is handling arrangements.

PLYMOUTH — Pauline D. (Mrs. Russell) Peffley, 90, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 10:20 p.m. in the Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth of natural causes.
Pauline has made Miller’s her home for the past two years and has resided in Plymouth since 1952 coming from Elkhart. For more than 20 years she and her husband spent the majority of the year in the area of Avon Park, Fla.
Born May 10, 1921 in Mishawaka, she was the daughter of Guy and Ellen (Oatzs) Bordner. She was raised there and attended Mishawaka High School.

BREMEN — Fern Irene (Kring) Troche, 89, of Bremen died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011 at the LuAnn Nursing Home in Nappanee following an extended illness.
She was born April 26, 1922 in North Liberty, to Colonel Eddie and Bessie Pearl (Mull) Kring, both deceased. Fern is also preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Caspari and Mary Markley, and her brothers, Claude, Joseph, Howard and Robert Kring.

PLYMOUTH —  Michael Evanoff, 51, died of natural causes at 9:22 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, in his residence.
He is survived by his parents, Michael and Beverlee Evanoff, Hacksneck, Va.; two brothers, Mark (Colleen) Evanoff, Osceola, and Robert Evanoff, Melfa, Va.; and by a sister Debra Bayliss, Onley, Va.
Visitation is Friday, Oct. 7, 2011, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral services will follow visitation at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.

ARGOS —  Shirley May (Cunningham) Wolf, 79, of Argos, passed away peacefully, at her home in the country with her family by her side, Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011.
Shirley was born Jan. 30, 1932, to Otto and Evelyn (Hunt) Cunningham in South Bend. She spent most of her childhood in LaPorte. When she turned 17 her family moved to South Bend. She graduated from Riley High School in the class of 1952. Art and drawing were her passions throughout high school and her entire adult life.

CULVER —  Dona R. Dale, 85, former longtime resident of Culver passed away Oct. 3, 2011 at 4:30 a.m. in The Catherine Kasper Life Center in Donaldson. Dona was born Oct. 9, 1925 in Farina, Ill., one of two children born to Donald (Hilda Kline) Koss.
During the 1940s Dona danced with The Acroballet Theater and won numerous “Jitterbug” contests. She sang with a trio in the local high school jazz band and sang in various radio productions in Chicago.

PLYMOUTH —  Paul Altman, 88, formerly of North Judson, died Oct. 4, 2011 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth.
He is survived by a daughter, Barbara A. (Phil) Aguilar of Honolulu, Hawaii; sons, Michael K. (Gale) Altman of Cinnaminson, N.J., David K. (Lynette) Altman of North Judson, Edward J. (Sumanthana) Altman of Indianapolis; wife, Jeanette (Pugh) Altman of Syracuse; stepdaughters, Shari (Dave) Ray of Fort Wayne, Kathi (Don) Robinson of Syracuse; eight grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
