ROCHESTER â€”Â Shirley Hiatt, 74, of 3361 N. 200 W. Rochester,Â died at 6 a.m., Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Woodlawn Hospital.
She is survived by her husband, Pat; daughters, Cathlene (David) Strong of Cusco, Peru, South America, and Bev Hiatt of Huntington; son, David (Catherine) Hiatt of Rochester; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Martha â€śMartiâ€ť Schwenk of Rochester, Jan (Lynn) Mishler of Leiters Ford, and Donna Brucker of Muskegon, Mich.; and brother, John (Margaret) Raub of Indianapolis.

KNOX â€” LaVerna Ewing, 88, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2011 in Millerâ€™s Merry Manor, Culver.
She was born March 31, 1923 in Kokomo to Ray and Ina (Jordan) Myers. Dec. 18, 1941 in Mishawaka she was married to Carroll Ewing, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one sister.Â
Survivors include one daughter, Cathy Benko of Knox; three sons, Gerald Ewing of Oak Grove, Richard (Dolly) Ewing of Culver, and Jeff (Renee) Ewing of Argos; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

WOODSTOCK, Ill. â€”Â Jeanette Mary (McBride) Irwin, 92, died June 12, at Hearthstone Communities Nursing facility where she received very compassionate and loving care by the nursing and hospice staff.
She was born July 23, 1918 in Burlington, Ill. to Ralph R. and Ada E. (Chapman) McBride.
Aug. 10, 1941 she was married to Harold R. Irwin of Culver, at Hampton, Va. He was stationed at Langley Field in the U.S. Army Air Corps.

She was born the daughter of Ralph Schaal and Cora Fern Kanarr Schaal Nov. 18, 1942, in Plymouth. She married Jerry Eby Dec. 29, 1963.

PLYMOUTH â€” Former Mayor James Eugene â€śJimâ€ť Yeazel died unexpectedly of a heart attack, at 9:30 p.m., Saturday, June 11, 2011, eight days before his 84th birthday, at his Washington Street home in Plymouth.
An enormously popular and respected man, his loss will be felt by many who laughed at his jokes and were cheered by his presence.
Jim was born in Plymouth June 19, 1927, the son of Milo David and Cora Ellen (Green) Yeazel.

He was born Nov. 14, 1938, in Goose Rock, Ky., to George and Mary (Henson) Howard. George and Loretta Jackson were married June 13, 1958, in Adrian, Mich. They moved to the Marshall County area in 1965. George was a truck driver and mechanic. He was a proud member of the National Rifle Association. His passion, for the last few years, was attending many gun shows.Â

CULVER â€”Â James Manley Moss, 87, of Culver died May 28, 2011 at Millerâ€™s Merry Manor, Culver.
He is survived by daughters, Deborah (Curtin) Kelley of Columbus, Ohio, Rebecca (Tom) Brovont of Rochester, Elizabeth (Dennis) Gilley of Florida, and Barbara Porter of Fort Wayne; 10 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, June 10, 2011 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Odom Funeral Home, Culver.
Funeral service is Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Culver Academies Memorial Chapel.
