Raymond E. Beck
Feb. 26, 1921 â€” April 17, 2011
PLYMOUTH â€“ Raymond E. Beck, 90, a Plymouth resident since 1994, coming from LaPorte, died at 10:30 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2011 at the Carriage Way residence he made with his son and family.
The son of Fred S. and Lela Smith Beck, Ray was born in Dayville, Ore. Feb. 26, 1921. He later moved with his family to Chicago suburb of Harvey, Ill.
Feb. 23, 1943, Ray and Minnie Ada Madsen were married in Harvey. The following day, he was shipped out to Europe and there crossed Normandy Beach. Minnie preceded him in death Dec. 29, 2000.

WILLOWBROOK, Ill. â€”Â Shirley J. Roberts, age 63, is at rest April 16, 2011. She was the loving wife of Keith R. White; dear sister of Bobbi Roberts and the late Arla Roberts; and beloved daughter of the late Maryalice and John E. Roberts.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 19 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Adolf Funeral Home 7000 S. Madison St; Willowbrook. Funeral services will be Wednesday with visitation from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Hinsdale United Methodist Church 945 S. Garfield Ave; Hinsdale. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

PLYMOUTH â€” James A. Flower, 69, of Plymouth, died April 17, 2011 at his residence, of natural causes.
He is survived by his wife, Vernell; sons, James Adam (Lori) Flower of Argos, and Lloyd Clemmons (Linda) Flower of Argos; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

ROCHESTER â€”Â Clayton E. Klingerman, 64, formerly of Bremen, passed away suddenly at his Rochester home Friday evening, April 15, 2011 due to an apparent heart attack.
Clayton was born in Bremen, the son of Chester Earl and Catherine Elma (Williams) Klingerman Oct. 18, 1946. He was raised on the farm where he came to appreciate the outdoors, livestock and animals of all kinds. He graduated from Bremen High School with the class of 1964.
Marvin C. Miller

PLYMOUTH â€” Marvin C. Miller, 73, a resident of Menominee Trail, Plymouth, died following an illness Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Born Aug. 11, 1937 in Mishawaka, he was the only child of Wilbur F. and Ferrel M. (Jones) Miller. After moving to Plymouth he graduated from Lincoln High School in 1955.
The 18-year-old redhead enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served from the summer of his graduation until 1958. Marv was proud to have been included on the maiden voyage of the U.S.S. Saratoga and experience the deck landing of President Eisenhower.

CULVER â€” Betty J. Banks, 78, of Culver, died at 2:50 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2011 in Culver.
She is survived by a son, Jimmy (Beverly) Banks; daughter, Brenda (Tommy) Gravely; sister, Polly (Robert) Dukes; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, April 15 at Odom Funeral Home, Culver.
Funeral services will take place at 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Leiters Ford IOOF Cemetery.

NAUGATUCK, Conn. â€”Â Mary E. (Stover) Mallory, 87, of Naugatuck, Conn., died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at Waterbury Hospital, after a short illness and courageous fight for life.
She was the wife of Robert W. Mallory.

CULVER â€” Barbara Esther (Whan) Hughes, 94, of Walnut Creek, Calif., formerly of Culver, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011 at Sophiaâ€™s Care House in Walnut Creek, Calif.
She is survived by two daughters, Johanna Trickovic of Orinda, Calif., and Greta Berlin of bar Sur Loup France; son, Eric of Oakland, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

PLYMOUTH â€”Â Kenneth L. Luse, 80, a lifetime Plymouth resident, passed away in the company of his family following an extended illness. Ken resided with his loving wife Mary of 61 years, on Redbud Drive.
Ken had many friends and was a regular at the McDonaldâ€™s morning coffee club. Kenâ€™s comic nature never knew a stranger as he sought humor in everyday life. Most importantly he was a devoted Christian and family man who was â€śalways thereâ€ť for them and the needs of others.
