SOUTH BEND — Dora M. Doerr, 88, of 1209 South 29th St., South Bend passed away at 6:30 a.m., Monday, Nov. 8, 2010, at her home. 
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Fryfogle; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her brother, Bob (Phyllis) Overmeyer; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation or funeral services. A private family burial will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.

PLYMOUTH — Brent L. Murphy, 58, of Plymouth was called home to the Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010.
Brent was born Nov.24, 1951 in Plymouth to Otho L. & Bernice (Parker) Murphy. He married Judith L. Wright on July 18, 1971 in Idaville. She survives.
Brent enjoyed farming, gardening, landscaping and all of nature’s beauty, especially when camping. Brent and Judy spent 22 years dairy farming in Lakeville. They retired farming and he worked for Graphix Unlimited in Bremen from 1992 until October of 2010.

PLYMOUTH — Ruth I. Rensberger, 85, formerly of Windmill Park, Plymouth, a lifetime area resident, died in the Meadowvale Care Center in Bluffton, Ind. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at 6:45 a.m. She had resided with her sister Mary Alice Workman in Bluffton after experiencing failing health.
Born in Tyner, Ind. Jan. 5, 1925, she was the daughter of John and Ruby (Jones) Baker. She graduated from Tyner High School.
May 9, 1944, in Plymouth, Ruth and Herman C. Rensberger were married. Herman died May 18, 1999.

Samuel ‘Sam’ Johnson

PLYMOUTH — Samuel C. “Sam” Johnson, age 77, of Windmill Drive, Plymouth, passed away at 5:58 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, at I.U. Medical Center in Indianapolis.
Sam was born Sept. 28, 1933, in North Liberty, to Samuel Milton and Leota (Guyse) Johnson. July 13, 1957, Sam married the former Alice Ottow in Donaldson. Together they raised their three children.
Sam was retired from roadway construction and concrete work. He enjoyed going bowling and going fishing. Sam had been a resident of the Marshall County area all of his life.

PLYMOUTH — James E. Moore, 81, Plymouth, died in the Bremen Community Hospital at 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010 of natural causes.
James was born in South Bend, May 29, 1929. He was the son of Marvin F. and Zeffa R. (Conklin) Moore.
April 14, 1953, he married Mildred Huff in the Trinity United Methodist Church, Plymouth.

ROCHESTER — Mildred F. Elliott, 91, of Rochester, died at 6:58 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, at Hickory Creek  of Rochester.      
She is survived by a daughter, Janelle (Richard “Dick”) Smith of Rochester; sons, Fred A. (Joyce) Jones of Rochester and David Lee (Becky) Jones and of Florida; stepson, Bob Elliott of White Pigeon, Mich.; stepdaughter, Becky Bingaman of Three Rivers, Mich.; 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

MUNCIE — Helen Grace (Behmer) Hess, 92, of Muncie, formerly of Argos, died at 10 a.m. Nov. 7, 2010 at Westminster Village Nursing Home, Muncie, following a brief illness.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald; a son, Thomas (Kuniko) Hess of Columbus, Ohio; daughter, Nancy (Kenneth) Bruce of Albany; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters: Lenore Schaefer of Grand Rapids, Mich., Betty Gene Wagoner of Albuquerque, N.M. and Julia Ruth Ward of Sacramento, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

CULVER — Mary G. “Tiny” Wildes, 87, of Culver died at 10:55 a.m. Nov. 5, 2010 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Culver.
Mary was born to Vincent Roppolo and Lina Rizzo on Oct. 27, 1923 in Gary. She graduated from Emmerson High School. She was married Nov. 24, 1945 at St. Anthony’s Rectory in Gary to Charles “Ted” Wildes. Together they raised five children. Ted preceded her in death in 1999.
Mary was a member of St. Mary’s of the Lake Catholic Church in Culver. She was a very good cook. Mary will be greatly missed by many.

He is survived by his wife, Erin; daughter, Rilynn Hundt of Plymouth; son, Ryen Hundt of Plymouth; parents: Larry Hundt of Plymouth and Ginger Millette of Memphis, Tenn.; sister, Stefanie Hundt of Plymouth; and a brother, Chad Peltz of Cape Girardeau, Mo. Also, his mother and father-in-law: Nancy and Kevin Ames.
Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10 at New Oakhill Cemetery Chapel, Plymouth.

BREMEN — Madge Elinor Smith, 87, of Bremen, passed away Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010 surrounded by her loving family at the Bremen Health Care Center. 
Madge was the daughter of Welcome and Bernice (Berg) Huff, born June 23, 1923. She married Richard E. Smith Sept. 23, 1945, who survives.
