PLYMOUTH â€” Snow fell overnight in Marshall County, part of a cold front moving through the area. Neighboring Starke and St. Joseph counties were under a lake effect snow warning issued Monday, which remains in affect until noon today.

PLYMOUTHâ€” Local veterans will be honored and remembered at the Marshall County Veterans Day observance planned for 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11, on the Marshall County courthouse lawn.
Other celebrations and observance planned for the day include:
â€¢ CULVER: The time-honored tradition of the Veterans Day ceremony at Culver Academies will take place on the lakeside steps of the Legion Memorial Building at 11 a.m.
â€¢ ARGOS: Argos Elementary will welcome Phil DeVos, a former Argos graduate who is currently serving. The program starts at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Nov. 11.

PLYMOUTH â€” the National Weather Service is not including Marshall County in the Lake Effect snows expected to move into the area overnight.
Starke County, however is under a snow watch as the first significant lake effect snow event of the season is predicted to move into the area tonight and Tuesday.
NAPPANEE â€” Patrick O. Circle, of Nappanee, was killed at approximately 10:36 p.m. Wednesday night after being struck by a train near the intersection of Madison Street, according to a police press release issued Thursday morning.
An investigation is ongoing and includes CSX officials and the Elkhart County Coroner's office. Foul play is not indicated.
Circle died of blunt force trauma. Toxicology reports are pending.
