ARGOS — A pile of trash caught on fire at County Line Landfill Tuesday around 6 p.m., but was put out quickly according to Ryan Murphy, assistant fire chief at the Rochester Fire Department.
"Some trash on the hill caught on fire," said Murphy Wednesday, adding, "The cause of fire was never really determined — it could have been a hot load of ash or a cigarette."
Employees of the landfill noticed the fire, and called 911. Murphy said that firefighters were only on the scene for about 40 minutes.
KNOX — Todd Boldry, 39, of Knox, entered a plea of not guilty in Starke County Circuit Court Friday during his initial hearing on the charges of Child Seduction and Official Misconduct.
Plymouth man denies sexual misconduct with teen
PLYMOUTH — A nearly two-month investigation has resulted in the arrest of a Plymouth man on charges of having sex with a minor.
Brock Biddle, 26, Plymouth, told police he never had sex with an underage girl and believed that she was 18.
The girl alleges that shortly after her 15th birthday in March the two become involved.
Biddle was booked in the Marshall County Jail Sunday and held on a $10,000 bond with a charge of sexual misconduct, a class B felony.

Advocates such as Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, author of The Power of Positive Thinking, recommended surrounding yourself with positive affirmations to counteract the negative influences of life. This reporter was not above looking in the bathroom mirror and repeating the mantra “I am the best I can be. Today will be the best day of my life.”
