Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman visited the J.W. Hicks facilities in Knox Tuesday as part of her Hoosier Crossroads Tour. Skillman, who is nearing the end of her second term as Indiana’s lieutenant governor, has been very active in her support of economic development and the growth of Indiana businesses.
The Hoosier Crossroads Tour, which started in July 2011, will take her to all 92 counties in Indiana visiting local businesses and meeting with local officials. Before coming to Knox, she traveled to Pulaski County to tour Fratco, a plastic drainage pipe manufacturer in Francesville.
ROCHESTER — Roy Bell, of Rochester, will be in Fulton Superior Court Tuesday for his alleged role in the Nov. 22 shooting death of Wilma Upsall, 81, a former Knox resident, during a robbery that Bell and two other men, William Scroggs, of Delong, and Jason Miller of Plymouth, allegedly committed.
Bell is looking at a possible death sentence if convicted of shooting Upsall last November at her daughter’s home near Leiter’s Ford.
