Graduating Culver Comm. High School senior Joe Krsek (pictured here, second from left) says he didn't expect to win this gently used vehicle from County Auto Center in Plymouth, even though he had plenty of A's on his report card. Every A submitted earned seniors from Plymouth, Triton, Culver, Argos, and Bremen High Schools an entry in a drawing for a vehicle, according to Joe Martin, Jr. (far left) of County Auto, who noted about $10,000 was budgeted towards the car (whose taxes Country Auto also paid).
This 43-inch Musky was caught by Dick Shroeder of Wanatah (doing a Figure 8 boatside). Holding the fish is Steve Syrja of Grass Lake, Mich. Also pictured is Dave "Bird" Claussen of Valparaiso. "We have been chasing Muskies all over the Midwest for 30 years," Schroeder said. "I love this picture since it is a decent fish hooked at boatside, I picked the spot and it's a great picture of two of my best fishing buddies."
MARSHALL CO. — Marshall County council members heard a request for funds from the probation department during their regular meeting Monday. “We have no explanation for why (this number) was so low last year and so high this year,” said Walsworth.
