PLYMOUTH — Back in November, when Lincoln Jr. High School teacher Amy Gerard had her students enter a contest using the online program Bullying Academy, she had no way of knowing that they would place first in the nation based on their test scores after going through the unit's content. But they did, and Friday the school held a celebration complete with a pizza party and a visit from Dr. Tony Bennett, head of Indiana Department of Education.
PLYMOUTH — NIPSCO will be installing a gas main on Pierce Street from Michigan Street to Walnut Street beginning Tuesday and continuing for approximately 10 days. During this time, traffic on Pierce Street will be restricted in the westbound lane.
BOURBON — Toby Grose, 40, of Elkhart was traveling eastbound on U.S. 30 approaching Beech Road Saturday afternoon when his vehicle was struck by Coleen Gallinger-Miller, 33, of Bourbon, who was traveling northbound on Beech Road. Both vehicles came to rest in the median following the collision. Five people from both of the vehicles were transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw and treated for minor injuries. The accident is still under investigation by the Marshall County Sheriff's Department.
