PLYMOUTH — Andrew McNeal, 29, of Plymouth was crossing the median of U.S. 31 at the intersection of 2C Road around 1 p.m. Monday when he pulled into the path of a semi truck heading south on 31. The driver of the semi, Bozo Tazan, 51, of South Bend, was unable to stop and struck McNeal's minivan, causing the van to spin off the road. McNeal did not have a seatbelt on, and he was thrown from the vehicle. McNeal's passenger, 6-month-old Reese McNeal, was transported by ambulance to Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth. Injuries to the infant are unknown.
PLYMOUTH — A collision between a semi truck and a van Monday afternoon left highway 31 southbound significantly backed up for several hours. EMS and fire personnel were called to the scene of an accident at about 1 p.m. near the U.S. 31 and U.S. 6 intersection. One individual was airlifted to Memorial Hospital in South Bend.
The Plymouth Public Library is hosting "Dogs at the Library" from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
