Culver police have announced findings following Tuesday's autopsy, concerning the shooting deaths last Wednesday evening of 44 year old Michael Price and 16 year old Stephen Suthard, who died at a home on Madison Street.
According to a release by Culver police, "Investigation at the scene, as well as autopsies conducted on Tuesday, December 4, have determined that Suthard died of multiple gunshot wounds as a result of actions by Michael Price, who then took his own life and died of a single self-inflicted gunshot wound."
HAMMOND â€” Last Friday afternoon, a northern Indiana jury returned a verdict in favor of the City of Plymouth in a suit involving a 2008 traffic stop in which the Cityâ€™s K-9 Unit performed a vehicle search. Kevin and Jamila Miller had sued the city, its K-9 officer, and Marshall County Sheriffâ€™s Department personnel who participated in the stop, seeking monetary damages for alleged federal civil rights and state law claims.
MARSHALL CO. â€” County Auditor Penny Lukenbill recently warned the public of a scam seemingly targeting first-time homebuyers.
In the past few weeks, some new homeowners in Marshall County have received a letter from a Washington, D.C. company asking them to pay an $83 fee for a copy of their property deed.
â€śA lot of people are falling for thisâ€¦itâ€™s just another attempt to scam the public,â€ť said Lukenbill to county commissioners in their regularly scheduled meeting Monday.
