Most Culver residents are aware that work resumed two weeks ago on Culver's downtown revitalization project. At the Oct. 23 meeting of Culver's town council, some insight was given as to how that action came about, following the ceasing of work from Oct. 9 to 16.
PLYMOUTH â€”Â 2nd District Congressional Candidate Brendan Mullen (D-Granger) stopped by Opieâ€™s Deli Wednesday afternoon fresh off his debate with opponent Republican Jackie Walorski.
Mullen took Walorski to task several times for seemingly avoiding direct answers to questions during the debate aired on WSBT2 Tuesday night.
During the debate, Mullen painted Walorski as a career politician while citing his own small business and military experience.
PLYMOUTH â€” After a week where his name was all over the national news for his comments on abortion and rape, Republican Seante candidate Richard Mourdock was at The Brass Rail Wednesday afternoon as his campaign charged toward the finish.
And Mourdock brought with him some good news for the supporters on hand.
He told the group that internal polling suggested Mourdock had gone from being in a tie with opponent Democrat Joe Donnelly to leading by a little less than two points.
Mourdockâ€™s campaign took a hit from comments he made at an Oct. 23 debate.
