Fire near Casey's in Argos

August 1, 2011

A car fire gave customers and residents a scare in Argos Sunday evening. The car, parked near the front door of the building, was completely engulfed in flames. Firemen checked the insulation in the store to be sure there was no lingering heat and damage inside.

PHS alumni volleyball

August 1, 2011

Wednesday is a night-long celebration of volleyball for Plymouth alumni. Anyone who has played volleyball for Plymouth schools is invited to come and participate. Beginning at 6 p.m. at Lincoln Jr. High, a battle of the ‘80s stars versus the ‘90s is shaping up.

Later Wednesday night, make sure to stick around for community night volleyball in the sand at Centennial Park sponsored by the Plymouth Alumni Association and the Plymouth Park Department.

U.S. 35 South of Knox to close for chip seal and fog seal

KNOX – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will close U.S. 35 between Ind. 8 south of Knox and Ind. 10 south of Bass Lake Tuesday, Aug. 2 and Wednesday, Aug. 3 so crews can perform a chip-seal and fog seal operation to repair the road surface.
