The potential role of Culver’s Town Council -- and other local government bodies -- in possible installation of dozens of wind turbines in Union Township was discussed at last week’s (July 12) Council meeting. Audience member Hank Bilsland, of South Street in Culver, asked if the Council had taken a position on the matter, which has been the subject of several meetings in the area in recent months.
PLYMOUTH — The Marshall County Community Foundation and the United Way of Marshall County today announced the appointment of Linda K. Yoder as joint executive director of the two organizations.
Yoder was most recently vice president of Government Affairs at the Electric Motors Corporation of Plymouth, and before that was the director of the Nappanee Public Library where she had been employed for over 20 years, converting a traditional library into a vibrant and creative community center.

ARGOS — School may be out for the summer, but quiet is the opposite of what one would find in the Argos High School auditorium. For the past several months, a group of nuns have been filling the auditorium with rousing musical numbers, pithy dialogue, and humorous commentary. The Maxinkuckee Players of Culver will be traveling to area communities this year to perform "Nunsense: the Mega-Musical," beginning with an opening performance this Friday in Argos.
