Parishioners will celebrate cornerstone’s 100th anniversary

PLYMOUTH — The 100th anniversary of the laying of the cornerstone of St. Michael Catholic Church, 611 N. Center St., Plymouth, will be celebrated with a special Mass and a buffet dinner for parishioners and friends Wednesday, Sept. 29.
“We will also be celebrating the St. Michael Feast of the Archangels Day,” Father William Kummer, pastor of the church since August of 2002, said. “Every year, we try to do something special on our name day. Last year, we dedicated our school’s new playground.”

Oliver Ford’s help is music to their ears

PLYMOUTH — Ford Motor Company and Oliver Ford are doing what they can to keep the music playing in Plymouth.
John Oliver III of Oliver Ford had the pleasure of presenting Plymouth High School Band Director Bryan Ames and Plymouth High School Principal Jim Condon a check for $5,720 for the Plymouth Music Boosters as part of Ford’s Drive One 4 UR School program.
