Schools required to have class take ISTEP online

December 2, 2010

A decision made by the Indiana State Board of Education in August has the DOE (Department of Education) evaluating the readiness of Indiana schools to administer the multiple-choice portion of the ISTEP+ assessments test electronically.
The DOE is requiring schools to have at least one grade level in each school building with grades 3-8 take that portion of the test online.
Only the multiple-choice portion is offered online; all students will take the applied skills portion of the test on paper.

WTCA teams up with SWAC for fourth annual auction

December 2, 2010

PLYMOUTH — Friday, WTCA-AM 1050 will be working 9 to 5 to make some local kids’ Christmas a little brighter.
The radio station will host its fourth annual Shop With a Cop radio auction with all the proceeds going to the FOP Lodge #195 yearly program that takes as many kids in need in the county Christmas shopping as possible. Last year the program helped over 300 kids have a Christmas they might not have had otherwise.
