The result was sometimes confusing, but the Pilgrims got it done, topping both Knox and Tippecanoe Valley 99-48-36 and splitting with winner CMA and third-place Bremen in their three-way 97-61-28.

February 7, 2011

BREMEN — Bremen led 24-21 at the half, but Tanner Foust took over after the break as Fairfield claimed a 58-43 win over the Lions at Bremen Saturday.
Foust went 6 of 7 from the field in the second half for 16 of his game-high 24 points. His alley-oop layup at the 5:32 mark of the third frame put the Falcons up for good.
“He was kind of in the rhythm, and he was finding little seams and things,” said Fairfield head basketball coach John Wysong. “We didn’t tell him anything special (at halftime), just try to keep even-keel.”
