DUNLAP – The story of Plymouth’s baseball season could be the story of one inning.
On the road Plymouth once again couldn’t overcome one big inning — a seven-run Concord second — in falling to the Minutemen by a 10-4 final. It was the second time this season Plymouth fell prey to a big Concord inning after the Pilgrims surrendered eight runs in the third inning of a 12-0 home loss to the Minutemen April 17.
The Minutemen (9-3) plated seven in the second off Plymouth starter Bailey Clark in his first start of the season.
BOURBON — The John Glenn Falcons played a near perfect game in all three phases as they routed the Triton Trojans 11-0 on the Trojans’ home turf Friday night.
Senior Mark Einhorn threw a one-hitter with nine strikeouts and one walk, with the lone hit not coming until the sixth inning, and the Falcons played solid defense behind him, not committing a single error in the game.

BOURBON — For four innings, Culver Girls Academy hung tough with Triton.
But in the end, the Lady Trojans’ big second inning proved more than enough for the visitors.
Triton batters collected eight hits for nine runs batting through the order in the bottom of the second, and Hannah Jennings’ two-run double in the bottom of the fifth sealed CGA’s fate, 13-3 in five innings in Bourbon Thursday.
“We’ve been struggling hitting the ball, but this week we’ve hit the ball decent,” said Triton softball coach Steve McBride.

Carpenter sets school record for Triton
Quentyn Carpenter set a nine-hole school record, and Triton’s boys golf team beat out a four-team field at Rozella-Ford Thursday.
Carpenter’s 3-under-par 32 set a new program low for the Trojans, while number three Tanner Shepherd shot a strong 38, Ryan Rapp carded 39, and Lucas Shafer turned in a 40 as Triton beat out its next closest competitor, Bremen 149-188.
