PLYMOUTH â Mary Kathryn Neu, 89, formerly of Plymouth, passed away May 19, 2013. Mary was recently a resident of Sunrise Senior Living in Lombard, Ill.
She was born Dec. 18, 1923 in Bremen to John and Alwine Ryder.
She graduated from Bremen High School in 1941. After graduating high school, Mary worked at Associates South Bend and the Bremen Bank, Bremen.
On Jan. 16, 1954, Mary married James Henry Neu. She resided in Plymouth till 2007.

BREMEN â William âBillâ D. Heltzel, 82, of Bremen died Sunday, May 19, 2013 at the Hospice House of Elkhart
He is survived by two sons, Bryan (Angie) Heltzel of Milford and Joe (Lori) Manning of Bourbon; two daughters, Penny (Baziel) Vrient of Elkhart and Kim (Terry) Lamb of Plymouth; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen.
âąJoseph Justin Roy Garrison, 34, of Plymouth was arrested by the Indiana State Police at 7:30 a.m. on May 21 for dealing, delivering and manufacturing methamphetamine.
âąLisa Ann Mitchell, 41, of Bremen was arrested by the Indiana State Police at 7:30 a.m. on May 21 for dealing, delivering and manufacturing methamphetamine.
âąJason Paul Kennedy, 37, of Plymouth was arrested by the Indiana State Police at 7:30 a.m. on May 21 for dealing, delivering and manufacturing methamphetamine.
PLYMOUTH - An investigation into the death of an inmate in the Marshall County Jail has determined it was by natural causes.
Marshall County Prosecuting Attorney David R. Holmes announced Tuesday that his office has completed its review of the April 7 death of Kerry Alan Pinder, 44, of Culver while incarcerated at the Marshall County Jail. The investigation was conducted by the Indiana State Police and the Marshall County Coroner, with the cooperation of the Marshall County Sheriffâs Department.
PLYMOUTH â Seven people were arrested Tuesday morning after law enforcement officers served a search warrant.
The house was located in the 700 block of Oak Hill Drive, within 1,000 feet from Menominee Elementary School.
Arrested were: Jason P. Kennedy, 36; Joseph J.R. Garrison, 33; Lisa A. Mitchell, 40; Jamie Sullivan, 42; Maggie J. Garrison, 30; Amanda R. Miller, 26; and Tonia E. Flowers, 38. All those arrested, with the exception of Flowers, lived at the Oak Hill residence. Flowersâ is from Mishawaka, Ind.

LAKEVILLE â Slow starts led to quick exits for Plymouth and Culver Girls Academy in first-round softball sectional play Tuesday.
The Pilgrims yielded eight runs in the opening frame en route to a 10-0 five-inning loss to host Saint Joseph in a Class 3A Sectional 19 first-round contest at Newton Park.
Meanwhile, the Eagles surrendered a nine spot in the first inning and lost in five to Jimtown in the nightcap, 13-0.

TOPEKA â Emily Molden seemed to figure something out at the plate Monday night.
The freshman third baseman doubled three different times in the seventh spot in the Bremen lineup to help power the Lady Lions to a sectional-opening win over Central Noble. She wasnât quite as hot in Tuesdayâs semifinal, but she delivered when it mattered most.

Plymouth, CGA advance
Plymouth and defending regional champion Culver Girls Academy were both victorious in the Culver Tennis Regional semifinal round at Culver Academies Tuesday. CGA beat back Peru 4-1, while No. 1 Singles Allie Berger won in three sets to secure the Pilgrimsâ 3-2 victory over Warsaw.
Championship match is set for 5:30 p.m. today.
In the individual singles tournament, Bremenâs Morgan Smith advanced in straight sets, while North Judsonâs Jordan Frasure bowed out.

LAPAZ â Floyd M. Fleck, 92, a LaPaz resident since 1949, passed away at 10:10 a.m. Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Millerâs Merry Manor, Plymouth.
Floyd was born Aug. 21, 1920 in South Milford to John William Lester and Sylvia (Nesbit) Fleck. He attended LaGrange County schools.
In April of 1944, Floyd married Mildred L. Combs. She preceded him in death June 2, 1996.
He worked as a service man for Lein Chemical Company for 23 years, as well as, working part-time at Hallâs Hardware in LaPaz. He retired in 1983.

DONALDSON â Sister Johnel Kunkel, PHJC, 97, died at 4:45 a.m. Sunday, May 19, 2013 at the Catherine Kasper Life Center, Donaldson. She was born Anna Marie Elizabeth in Carlyle, Ill. April 26, 1916 to John and Elizabeth Rolfers Kunkel.
