PLYMOUTH â James Michael Bulington, 52, a resident of Plymouth, passed away at home, Sunday morning of natural causes.
Jim was born the son of James A. and Mary K. (Hasty) Bulington on Feb. 24, 1961 in Rensselaer. His mother, Mary Brugh with whom he made his home survives.
He was a graduate of LaPorte High School. Jim then enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served as his son Jesse does today.

COLUMBIA, Ky. âÂ Stanford Jessie âStanâ Baker, 66, of Columbia, Ky., formerly of Grovertown, died Friday, Aug. 16, 2013 at the University Medical Center in Lebanon, Tenn. after several monthsâ illness.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Keller Baker of Columbia, Ky.; one daughter, Phyllis Jenson of Grovertown; two sons, Louis J. Baker of Logansport, William H. Baker of Knox; two brothers, H. C. Baker of South Elgin, Ill., Randall Baker of Cobden, Ill.; and six grandchildren.
Young Plymouth lineup opens with win
Plymouth's boys tennis team unveiled a young and talented singles lineup in a 5-0 victory over visiting Kokomo at home in Centennial Park Monday night.
Sophomore John Hunter made the jump up from 3 singles last year to the No. 1 spot in this year's Pilgrims lineup, putting away Kokomo senior Craig Simon in straight 6-3 sets, while freshman John Gerard trumped Wildkats senior Bryce York 6-4, 6-2 at 2 singles, and sophomore Nate Knapp won his 3 singles match with Blake Brookshire 6-2, 6-3.

PLYMOUTH â Dottus (Mrs. Buford) Benge, 83, and a Plymouth resident for the past 15 years, passed away at 2:47 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16, 2013 in Millerâs Merry Manor, Plymouth.
The daughter of Owen and Buena (Vista) Young, Dottus was born in Owensboro, Ky. on Aug. 11, 1930. She graduated from Monticello High School in 1948. She then attended Western Kentucky University, graduating in 1952 with a degree in Home Economics and a teaching certificate.
On Aug. 19, 1952, Dottus married Buford Benge in Jackson County, Ga.

ROCHESTER âÂ Margaret E. Jones, 83, of Rochester, died at 12:25 a.m., Friday, Aug. 16, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy (Ted) Baker of Warsaw, Janet (Chet) Los of Syracuse; a son, Joseph (Ronda) Jones of Seymour; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
âąAnthony Michael Long, 45 of Plymouth was arrested by Plymouth Police at 2:20 p.m. on Aug. 16. for possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia, unlawful possession of a syringe, resisting law enforcement.
âąGregory Allen Mullins Jr., 35 of South Bend was arrested by Marshall County Sheriff's Department at 5:20 p.m. on Aug. 16 for driving while suspended.
âąEthan Bradley Wagers, 19 of Plymouth was arrested by Marshall County Sheriff's Department at 10:55 p.m. on Aug. 16 for possession of marijuana.
PLYMOUTH â Marshall County residents are invited to learn more about the Metronet expansion in a joint meeting held by the Marshall County Commissioners and the City of Plymouth.
CULVER - At just two and a half years old, Jaxson Laurita has had his share of bouts with illness. Last week, Jaxson and his family were granted a wish by the Make A Wish Foundation, bringing the family to Culver and the shores of Lake Maxinkuckee as their destination.
âWe got a letter in the mail stating we were granted a wish,â said Jaxsonâs mother Lori Laurita. âIt was pretty exciting.â

WALKERTON â Thomas E. Cotton, 76, passed away Thursday morning, Aug. 15, 2013 at the Settlerâs House in LaPorte. Mr. Cotton was born April 5, 1937 in Walkerton to the late J. W. and Mary (Easterday) Cotton. He has remained a lifelong area resident. Mr. Cotton retired from A.M. General Corporation in 1999 as a Maintenance Supervisor after 30 years of employment.
