BREMEN — Neither coach could be unhappy with their teams’ offensive output. Now if they could just find a way to bring their defense up to the same level of play.
Bremen rallied from a 2-0 deficit after a somewhat sleepy start with three goals before the half, then responded to a Plymouth equalizer in the second stanza with a three-goal outburst and held on for a 6-4 win in an offense-heavy game with the Lions’ area rivals at Jane’s Park Tuesday.
BREMEN — Bremen’s girls cross country team earned an ideal finish at Tuesday’s Northern State Conference three-way with visiting Triton and LaVille.
The Lady Lions top five crowded out the top five overall spots in the field to breeze to the top of the meet standings with 15 points. A pretty nice finish under any circumstances, but an especially impressive result racing without the team’s usual number one.
ARGOS — The Argos Dragons got off to a slow start Tuesday night at Eugene Snyder Field but were able to overcome that sluggish start in the second half and defeat the LaVille Lancers by a score of 5-0.
The Lancers came out with a defensive mindset from the start, hoping to slow down the potent Dragon attack.
“I knew we had to play a defensive game against Argos, and that’s what we did,” said LaVille coach Tom Kline. “I was very pleased with the way they played. This is the best game they have played all year for me. My keeper kept us alive. Sophomore Jackson Jones is a great goalie.”
