ROCHESTER â€”Â Charles O. Chilton, 62, of Rochester died at 7 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013 at Center for Hospice House of Elkhart.
He was born Nov. 18, 1950 in Bremen to Charles D. and Norma (Lechlitner) Chilton.
On July 10, 1987 in Argos he was married to Brenda Davis Harrell; she survives.
Charles owned and operated Chilton Excavating Inc. for nearly 30 years.

LOGANSPORT â€” Leona C. Good, 90, of Millerâ€™s Merry Manor, Logansport, formerly of the Argos community, died Sept. 25, 2013 at 8:55 p.m. at Logansport Memorial Hospital following a very brief illness.
She was born Nov. 17, 1922 in Pulaski County, the daughter of Newton H. Rude Sr. and Geneva Cyrena (DePoy) Rude.
She had lived in the Argos community since 1976 coming from Winamac.
On June 6, 1942 she married Grover Baker, they later divorced and he preceded her in 1984. On June 14, 1976 she married Richard Good, he preceded her in 1991.

KNOX â€”Â Becky Sue Miller, 61, of Knox died Monday, Sept. 23, 2013.
She is survived by two daughters, Chanda (Michael) Myers of Burns Harbor, Ashlee (Rob) Spencer of Noblesville; a brother, David Diehl of Pennsylvania; a sister, Cam Owen of Winamac; and four grandchildren.
Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. CDT Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013 at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Services were at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Tritonâ€™s Hannah Jennings fired an 89 at Stonehenge for the second berth out to the East Noble Regional at Saturdayâ€™s Warsaw Golf Sectional.
John Glennâ€™s Hunter Schuman rumbled his way to 144 yards in just 11 carries as Glenn topped Triton 40-6 in a football game last Friday.
As area teams begin to approach the home stretch of the season, John Glenn and Bremen ready themselves for big games in front of Homecoming crowds, while Triton hits the road for its biggest challenge yet in New Prairie tonight. Culver Military heads to John Glenn, meanwhile, and hopes to bring a healthy crowd with it on Parents Week.

Northern State tourney begins
The first round of the Northern State Conference Tennis Tournament went in the books Thursday night at DeSantis Courts in Bremen.
Round robin winner Knox advanced at 3 singles and on both doubles courts in its only three matches in Bremen, while 5-1 Triton won two of three singles matches. Host Bremen won matches at 1 and 2 singles and 1 doubles, meanwhile.
The next round of the NSCs will proceed Saturday at 10 a.m.

PLYMOUTH â€” Genette Hand, 84, passed away Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013 in Elkhart Hospice House. Genette was born March 13, 1929 in Houston, Texas to Eugene and Evette (DuBois) Jones and lived in Plymouth for nine years, coming from Houston. She was a retired secretary, a past member of the First United Methodist Church in Houston and was loved by all who knew her.
â€˘Justin Ryan Keller, 29 of Plymouth was arrested by Marshall County Sheriff's Department at 12:15 p.m. on Sept. 24 for intimidation use of a deadly weapon.
â€˘Shawnna Delane Barnes, 36 of Rochester was arrested by Marshall County Sheriff's Department at 2:30 p.m. on Sept 24 for failure to appear.
â€˘Chasity Brooke Skaggs, 22 of Etna Green was arrested by Marshall County Sheriff's Department at 5 p.m. on Sept. 24 for theft, forgery.
â€˘Kalem Alexander Linvill, 20 of Plymouth was arrested by Plymouth Police at 7:55 p.m. on Sept 24 for failure to appear.
