•Christina Elizabeth Johnson, 19 of Huntington was arrested by Marshall County Police at 12:30 a.m. on Oct. 5 for dealing in a schedule II controlled substance, possession of a schedule I, II, III, IV controlled substance without a doctors order.
•Nathan Scott Harrison, 23 of Wabash was arrested by Marshall County Sheriff's Department at 12:30 a.m. on Oct. 5. for dealing in a schedule I controlled substance manufacture deliver or finance, possession of a controlled substance schedule I, II narcotic.

Pilgrims clinch 17th straight
After finishing off Triton with a pair of wins at 2 and 3 singles, Plymouth’s boys tennis team won its 17th straight sectional title with a 4-1 victory over host Bremen at DeSantis Courts Friday night.

Ralph Edward Houghton, 90 passed away at 12:40 p.m., Sept. 30, 2013 in Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw.
He was born Nov. 8, 1922 in South Bend, the son of Frank and Alma (Poff) Houghton, who are deceased. He was united in marriage to Zulema Delilah Carroll, who survives. They celebrated 71 years of marriage this year.

•James Edgar Watts, 35 of North Judson was arrested by Marshall County Sheriff's Department at 8:15 a.m. on Oct. 3 for burglary, auto theft.
•Barbara Lynn Tuomi, 58 of Wheating, IL was arrested by the Marshall County Sheriff's Department at 5:35 p.m. on Oct. 3 for operating a vehicle with a BAC of .15 or more.
•Dewey Scott Titus, 30 of Bourbon was arrested by Marshall County Sheriff's Department at 7:25 p.m. on Oct. 3 for possession of a synthetic drug, operating a vehicle with a schedule I or II substance.

Rockies look to bounce back vs Concord

PLYMOUTH — A tough loss on the road a week ago leaves Plymouth’s Rockies with a week to recover and will have to do it against one of their schedule’s top challenges.
Each year the Plymouth vs. Concord match is a red letter date on each team’s calendar. Nearly every year for the past 10 it has decided or had powerful implications regarding the NLC championship.
A week ago at Wawasee, the Warriors exposed some Plymouth difficulties.

Pilgrims top Triton at lightning-shortened Bremen Tennis Sectional semifinal

BREMEN — Bremen High School AD Troy Holmes got started early on the flooded DeSantis Courts Thursday, and by the time the rain-delayed start of the second round of Bremen Tennis Sectional play rolled around at 6 o’clock, conditions looked perfect. Cool but not cold temperatures, virtually no wind.
Unfortunately, the weather wouldn’t last and lightning brought the sectional semifinals to a screeching halt at 7:53 p.m. Fortunately for Plymouth, the Pilgrims had already clinched their head-to-head with Triton.

CMA wins 10th straight title as play halted
Culver Military earned its 10th straight sectional championship with play suspended due to lightning with the Eagles leading Knox 3-1 at the CMA Sectional at the Gable Tennis Complex Thursday night.
Sam Concannon defeated Davey Johnston, 6-1, 6-1 at 1 singles, Martin Fecarotta and Brian Tao earned a 6-0, 6-1 win over Knox’s Curtis Scherer and Scott Farus at 1 doubles, and Evan Dillon and Nick Haydon combined for another 6-0, 6-1 win at 2 doubles versus Christian Jimenez and Daulton Materna to salt away the title for CMA.

As the leaves turned color, John Keedy passed peacefully away on Oct. 1, 2013 at his beloved Fell-O-Ship overlooking the idyllic shores of Lake Maxinkuckee. Born in Frankfort, on Oct. 13, 1939 to Morton and Carolyn Goar Keedy, John made several visits to Culver as a child, including the summer of ‘54 when he attended the Naval program at Culver Military Academy. That summer, he spotted the white house on the hill across the lake, the very spot where he would eventually spend some of the happiest days of his life.

•David Lyle Garman, 34 of Knox was arrested by the Indiana State Police at 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 2 for dealing, delivering, manufacturing methamphetamine, failure to appear, forgery.
• Stephanie Renee Whitesell, 24 of Plymouth was arrested by Plymouth Police at 2:35 p.m. on Oct. 2 for failure to appear.
•Ryamond Paul Norris, 63 of Rochester was arrested by Culver Police at 11:55 p.m. on Oct. 2 for public intoxication.
