As in holding the Class A No. 6 Knights to more than 26 points shy of their season offensive average crazy. As in leaving the uptempo Knights playing a slower-paced half-court game and talking to themselves crazy.
DONALDSON — The beginning of the season has been a long waiting game for the 2013 version of Ancilla College softball.
The Lady Chargers have lost 10 different game dates to snow and cold weather to begin the season, and now the wait continues as their spring trip is getting closer each day.
“It’s been a tough early spring, weather-wise,” said Ancilla coach Scott Reese. “We try to get a tough non-conference schedule completed at home before going down south, but this year hasn’t cooperated with us.”
INDIANAPOLIS — Three area boys and five girls players made the honorable mention list as the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association released its Academic All-State nominations for the 2012-13 season.

“We applied to be one of their local vendors,” said Sr. Sue Rogers of Earthworks. “We had to go through the regular process, meet with their regional managers and the bottom line is we were accepted.”
