PLYMOUTH — Adjusting has been the story of the year defensively at Plymouth.
A group of NLC quarterbacks — all with unique skills — have tested the Rockies and shown a metamorphosis of the game of football even at the high school level. From the pro’s on down, the quarterback position is at a premium.
With the regular season wrapping up tonight, area coaches are hoping for a strong finish to springboard them into the postseason next Friday.
Bremen and Culver Community will look to bounce back from disappointing losses to Jimtown and John Glenn, while Culver Military Academy is looking for its consecutive wins in four weeks on the road at Fairfield.
CULVER COMMUNITY (2-6, 1-5 NSC)
at LaVILLE (4-4, 3-3 NSC)
PERU — The final score was 9-2, but don’t be fooled — Thursday’s Peru Regional semifinal between Argos and upset-minded Oak Hill was never really that close.
The Golden Eagles entered the game hoping for a reprisal after falling to the two-time defending champion Dragons the past two seasons at regionals, but Argos was simply dominant, jumping out to a 3-0 halftime lead and stretching the margin to 6-0 with a flurry of goals in the first six minutes of the second stanza.
