Donald Eugene Schaal, 86, passed away peacefully Sun., Nov. 10, 2013 at the Fountainview Place Golden Living nursing home in Mishawaka, following a long illness. Mr. Schaal was born on Jan. 12, 1927 in Plymouth to Ralph C. and Cora F. (Kanarr) Schaal and was a lifelong area resident.

PLYMOUTHâ Local veterans will be honored and remembered at the Marshall County Veterans Day observance planned for 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11, on the Marshall County courthouse lawn.
Other celebrations and observance planned for the day include:
âą CULVER: The time-honored tradition of the Veterans Day ceremony at Culver Academies will take place on the lakeside steps of the Legion Memorial Building at 11 a.m.
âą ARGOS: Argos Elementary will welcome Phil DeVos, a former Argos graduate who is currently serving. The program starts at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Nov. 11.
PLYMOUTH â Ancilla College hosted the first of what is hoped to be an annual scholarship fundraising event Friday.
