PLYMOUTH âÂ Roxanne Croy, 74, died at 5:40 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013. Arrangements are pending with the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, Plymouth.
MARSHALL COUNTY â The National Weather Service is advising of the potential for a significant severe weather event in or near Marshall County on Sunday, Nov. 17. The largest threats from these storms will be high Winds and a moderate potential for tornadoes and hail.
The first signs of severe weather could be seen as early as 10 a.m with the threat diminishing after 8 p.m.

PLYMOUTH â The Lady Pilgrims used the offensive glass to good effect in the first half of their opener with Peru Thursday.
In the second half, they didnât need to.
Plymouth pulled down 10 offensive rebounds for 11 second chance points in the first half to build a 38-10 halftime cushion, then worked the ball for a 70 percent floor conversion rate in the second half on the way to a 68-24 rout of visiting Peru in the two teamsâ opener at the Rock.
BREMEN â Katie Lafferty of Bremen High School has signed a letter of intent to attend Saint Francis University where she will swim for the Red Flash.
Saint Francis is located in Loretto, Pennsylvania and has a Division I womenâs swimming program.
âKatie has worked extremely hard, and it has been her long-time goal to swim in college,â stated Meredith Eakins, BHS head swimming coach. âWe are very proud of this accomplishment and know Katie will represent Bremen well at St. Francis. Congratulations, Katie!â

NORTH LIBERTY âÂ Faye Eloise Mangus, 97, of North Liberty, passed away Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 12, 2013 at the home of her daughter, Nancy, in Brownsburg. Mrs. Mangus was born July 15, 1916 in LaPaz to Clyde and Laura (Ranstead) Reed. Her parents, along with her brother, John Reed, preceded in death as the result of the flu epidemic of 1919.

PLYMOUTH âÂ Miriam Louise Kemble, 85, residing at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home, Plymouth, passed away at 3:20 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013. She was born July 3, 1928 in St. Joseph County to the late Roscoe and Anna (Stump) Mangus. She had lived in the Lakeville area all of her life, recently residing in the River Park Community, Plymouth.

WINFIELD, Ill. âÂ Marceline âMarcyâ (Helms) Morken, born in Plymouth on April 28, 1929 to Flint and Frances (Eich) Helms. Died on Nov. 5, 2013 at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Ill. after nine days in ICU from a severe infection resistant to most antibiotics.

BREMEN â Harley Leo Sult Sr., 74, of Bremen, passed away at 2:10 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013 at Bremen Health Care Center.
He was born May 16, 1939 in Mishawaka to the late Charles and Gertrude Sult.
Harley is survived by; two daughters, Julie Miller of South Bend, Kenesha Sult of Wisconsin, two sons, Harley Sult Jr., of Utah and Charles Sult Sr. of Warsaw, a sister Norma Sult of South Bend, three brothers, Robert S. of South Bend, Robert of Arizona and Richard Wagner of Wisconsin, eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
