With nine incoming freshmen the enthusiasm is high, and the young group of men has been working hard since hitting campus in August of 2012.Â
New additions to the team include Plymouthâ€™s Cody Bennett and New Prairieâ€™s Blake Bennet, as well as Drew Roser, Austin Stonebraker, Eric Davis, Jacob Shaw, Caleb Armand, Corey Burton and Levi Winget.

PLYMOUTH - The wind blowing across Marshall County will have to wait at least until May to be harnessed as the Marshall County Commissioners tabled action on zoning changes related to wind farms on Monday morning.
Suggestions for amendments to Marshall Countyâ€™s zoning ordinance regarding wind energy â€śfarmsâ€ť have made their way from the Marshall County Plan Commission to the final vote in any change to to county zoning the Marshall County Commissioners. Those proposing change made their case before the Commissioners on Monday.
INDIANAPOLIS â€” Two area players were singled out by Hoosier Basketball Magazine as the magazine released its annual Top 100 Senior Boys list Monday.
Bremenâ€™s Ethan Pike and Tritonâ€™s Clay Yeo were both named to this yearâ€™s list. The Top 100 will be pared down to 60 players at the conclusion of this weekendâ€™s state finals, and those that make the final list will be invited to participate in the Top 60 Workout Sunday, April 7 at Marian University in Indianapolis. Among those who who will be in attendance at the workout is the Game Director of the 2013 Indiana-Kentucky All-Star Game.
INDIANAPOLIS â€” Menominee Elementary fourth grader Autumn Baumgartner earned four top 10 finishes over the weekend at the Indiana Swimming Age Group State SC Championships at the IUPUI Natatorium.

NAPPANEE â€”Â Joseph Detweiler, 79, of Nappanee, formerly of Bremen, died at Community Hospital of Bremen on Friday, March 15, 2013.
Survivors include, one daughter, Robin (Scott) Hellman of Bremen; three sons, Joseph W. (Andria) Detweiler of Bremen, Jamie (Teri) Detweiler of Bremen, Paul A. Detweiler of Bremen, 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Amanda Detweiler of Wakarusa, Barb (Wayne) Harter of Wakarusa; and a brother Eli, (Sue) Detweiler of Wakarusa.

PLYMOUTH â€” John M. Orr, age 84, passed away at 1:10 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2013 at Pilgrim Manor, Plymouth.
John was born in Plymouth on May 4, 1928 to Vernon Orr and Margaret Gantz Yazel. He graduated from Argos High School in 1947.
John was enlisted in the U.S. Army from 1950-52 and served during the Korean War. After returning to the states, he worked for AM General until retiring in 1990. During his 25 years of work, he worked on the assembly line, as a forklift operator, as maintenance in the saw room and in the warehouse.

OXFORD, Mich. â€” Steven Lewis Holtzclaw, 61, of Oxford, Mich. died March 13, 2013.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Kristen (Chris) Brody and Kristian (Cristy) Holtzclaw; five grandchildren; mother, Betty Ellett; sister, Pamela (Robert) Lyon; and brother, Jeffrey (Tina) Holtzclaw.
CMA goalie Jack Slifer recorded 15 saves while helping the Eaglesâ€™ Varsity A hockey team to its third straight state title March 9.
