PLYMOUTH ‚ÄĒ L&K Serendipity Shoppe in downtown Plymouth will soon be expanding into 1,000 square feet next door.
Shop owner Lori Manning said she plans to start selling larger items such as furniture and antiques. To do that, she needs the space that formerly housed Ely Lane next door to her shop.
‚ÄúWe still have people coming in for the first time,‚ÄĚ said Manning, who co-owns the shop with her daughter Kati Manning.
MARSHALL CO. ‚ÄĒ If your work commute takes you down U.S. 6, you might be caught in some traffic this week.
The Indiana Department of Transportation advised that work crews will be welding sections of the bridge for the new U.S. 31 over U.S. 6 between U.S. 31 and Lilac Road. This work will start Tuesday and continue through April 12.
With 26 points in the Class A state finals Saturday, Triton’s Clay Yeo set a new all-time Marshall County scoring record of 1,992 points to close out his career with the Trojans.
Culver Girls Academy senior Andrijana Cvitkovic was named to the Indiana-Kentucky All-Star series last week.
Cvitkovic will play in the home-and-home series early this summer.
INDIANAPOLIS ‚ÄĒ The one thing Triton boys basketball head coach Jason Groves wanted to avoid, happened.
The Trojans fell behind early, and despite a Class A State Finals record-setting fourth quarter, never quite recovered in a 55-50 loss to Borden at Bankers Life Fieldhouse Saturday.
Making its fourth appearance in the state finals since 2008, Triton finished 4 of 16 from the field in the first half and never led against the Braves, although Triton’s second-half switch from man to a 1-3-1 halfcourt zone trap yielded dividends.
INDIANAPOLIS ‚ÄĒ In many ways, Saturday‚Äôs Class A boys basketball state finals played out as a reversal of fortunes.
